A Quarter in Civ 7 is an urban district that has two buildings on the same tile. Once a district reaches this state, it gains extra benefits from social policies, wonders, or technologies. Some civilizations even have unique quarters that provide special bonuses.
How Quarters Work
Start with an Urban District – Any time you place a building in a settlement, it creates an urban district.
Add a Second Building – Once a second building is added to the same tile, the district becomes a Quarter.
Get Extra Bonuses – Quarters gain special effects from civics, wonders, or techs.
For example, a Quarter with science buildings might get extra research bonuses, while a Quarter with economic buildings could generate more gold.
Why Quarters Matter
Boost City Efficiency – Cities with more Quarters get stronger bonuses.
Unlock Civilization-Specific Benefits – Some civs have unique Quarters that provide special abilities.
Improve Adjacency Bonuses – Well-placed Quarters can boost nearby buildings and districts.
Final Blurb
Quarters are key to city planning in Civ 7. By strategically placing buildings and forming Quarters, you can maximize bonuses and improve your empire’s economy, science, or military strength. Always check which Quarters your civilization benefits from and plan your cities accordingly.
