Split Fiction: Ice King Puzzle Guide (Block & Door)

Before facing the Ice King in Split Fiction, players must solve two key puzzles: the Door Puzzle and the Ice Block Puzzle. These puzzles require teamwork and character abilities to solve. Here’s how to get through them quickly.

How to Solve the Ice King Palace Door Puzzle

When you reach the large door with mysterious symbols, your instinct might be to match them with the door’s icons—but that won’t work. Instead, follow these steps:

  1. Turn Zoe into her fairy form and use the flower trail to fly through the lock and enter the door.

  2. Mio (in monkey form) should wait outside.

  3. Inside, Zoe will find a lever and four buttons that control the symbols outside.

  4. Instead of matching symbols, align the notches on the buttons with the flowing vines until they light up.

  5. Once all four buttons outside are lit, Mio must punch them to lock them in.

  6. The door will open, allowing both players to continue.

How to Solve the Ice King Palace Ice Block Puzzle

The next puzzle involves sliding an ice block toward a green gateway to break it. Here’s how to do it:

  • Mio (monkey form) punches the ice block to move it.

  • Zoe (tree form) raises stones to stop the block from sliding endlessly.

Best Solution (Starting position: Gateway is south)

  1. Push the block south.

  2. Raise the stone to the east, then push the block east.

  3. Raise the stone to the north, then push the block north.

  4. Push the block east.

  5. Raise the stone to the north, then push the block north.

  6. Raise the stone to the west, then push the block west.

  7. Raise the stone to the south, then push the block south.

  8. Raise the stone to the west, then push the block west.

  9. Push the block south into the green gateway to smash it.

This clears the path forward, bringing you one step closer to the Ice King’s lair.

Final Blurb

The door puzzle requires line alignment, while the ice block puzzle requires careful positioning to guide the block correctly. Work together, use Zoe’s and Mio’s forms, and you’ll be facing the Ice King in no time!
