AION 2 How to Get Halloween Coins

AION 2's Trick or Treat event uses Halloween Pumpkin Coins as its main event currency, with a limited-time shop containing the seasonal rewards. You do not need to farm a special monster or open-world drop for them; the event splits its coin income between a 14-day attendance track and a set of weekly missions that overlap with normal Global activities.

For the full event breakdown, including weekly missions, attendance rewards, Candy Keys, merchant locations, and what to prioritize before it ends, see our AION 2 Halloween Event Guide.

How to Get Halloween Pumpkin Coins in AION 2

You get Halloween Pumpkin Coins in AION 2 from two sources: the Trick or Treat attendance event and the weekly Halloween missions found under Season Mission → Event. The 14-day attendance track gives 620 coins in total, while completing all 10 weekly missions gives another 235 coins each weekly reset.

The attendance rewards are the easiest source because they only require you to log in and claim them. Weekly missions require activities such as killing Abyss monsters, completing Transcendence and Expedition content, participating in Shugofesta, and using ordinary consumables.

Main coin sources:
Halloween attendance — 620 coins across 14 claimed days
Weekly event missions — 235 coins for completing the full weekly set

Get 620 Halloween Coins From Attendance

The simplest Halloween Pumpkin Coins come from the event attendance track. Open the in-game menu and go to Attendance, then claim the Trick or Treat reward for each eligible login day.

Most days award 35 Halloween Pumpkin Coins, while Day 7 and Day 14 each give a larger 100-coin reward. Claiming all 14 days adds up to 620 coins.

Attendance rewards:
Days 1–6 — 35 coins per day
Day 7 — 100 coins
Days 8–13 — 35 coins per day
Day 14 — 100 coins
Total — 620 Halloween Pumpkin Coins

The Halloween event runs longer than the 14-day attendance path, so you do not need to log in on 14 consecutive calendar days. You simply need enough eligible login days before the event ends to finish the track.

All Weekly Halloween Coin Missions

The second source is the Halloween mission set under Season Mission → Event. There are 10 missions, and completing all of them awards 235 Halloween Pumpkin Coins per weekly reset.

Weekly Halloween missions:
Abyss — Hunt 10 monsters in the Abyss — 25 coins
Transcendence — Clear one Transcendence Dungeon — 25 coins
Expedition — Clear one Expedition Conquest — 25 coins
Ascension Trial — Clear one Ascension Trial — 25 coins
Nightmare — Clear any Nightmare stage — 25 coins
Log In — Log in three times — 30 coins
Obtain Gear — Obtain one piece of Unique equipment — 20 coins
Use a Scroll — Use five scrolls — 20 coins
Dimensional Invasion — Participate once — 20 coins
Shugo Festival — Participate once — 20 coins

Most of these are normal activities rather than separate Halloween-specific grinds. If you are already doing your weekly dungeons, Abyss content, Nightmare, and Shugofesta, check the Event mission page before changing your routine because several objectives may complete alongside the content you were already planning to run.

Easiest Halloween Coins to Get First

If you only need enough coins for a particular shop reward, start with the objectives that require little or no additional progression.

The attendance rewards should always come first because they require no combat or Gear Score. The three-login mission is another easy 30 coins, while using five scrolls gives another 20 without requiring a dungeon clear.

Hunting 10 Abyss monsters is also a relatively short 25-coin objective once you have access to the Abyss. Shugofesta participation provides another 20 coins simply for taking part in the event activity.

After those, work the dungeon objectives into your normal weekly routine. Transcendence, Expedition, Ascension Trial, and Nightmare are worth 25 coins each, so together they make up a large portion of the weekly total.

This is more efficient than treating Halloween Coins as their own separate farming loop. Claim the passive rewards first, clear the low-effort objectives, and then let your usual PvE activities finish most of what remains.

Do Candy Keys Give Halloween Pumpkin Coins?

No. Candy Keys are part of a separate Halloween reward system and should not be confused with Halloween Pumpkin Coins.

Expedition and Transcendence dungeon clears can provide Candy Key Fragments. Those fragments are used through Substance Morph to create colored Candy Keys, which then open matching event candies in the cities.

The candy rewards include items such as pet growth materials, Abyss Points, Odyle Energy, Resurrection Stones, Halloween Candy, and Halloween Cookies. They do not replace the attendance and weekly mission systems used to earn Halloween Pumpkin Coins.

This means the same dungeon run can contribute to different parts of the Halloween event: it may complete a weekly Pumpkin Coin mission while also advancing your Candy Key rewards.

Where to Spend Halloween Coins in AION 2

Halloween Pumpkin Coins are spent at the temporary Coin Merchant NPCs located in the major faction hubs.

Elyos players can find Halloween Coin Merchants in Verteron, Dawn Legion Base, and Zumion Village. Asmodian players can use the merchants in Altgard, Safe Haven, and Nornir Assembly.

You only need to visit one of your faction's merchants, as the event stock is available from the Halloween Coin Merchant rather than requiring different towns for different rewards.

The major limited-time purchase is the Halloween Chest, which costs 250 Pumpkin Coins and contains the seasonal skeleton skin alongside 10,000 pet Soul Crystals. Since the attendance track alone provides 620 coins, you can afford the chest without completing every weekly mission as long as you finish enough attendance days.

When Does the AION 2 Halloween Event End?

The AION 2 Trick or Treat Halloween event runs from October 14 through November 4, 2026.

That deadline matters for both earning and spending Halloween Pumpkin Coins. Finish as much of the attendance path and weekly mission sets as you want before the event closes, then check the Coin Merchant before leaving a large balance unspent.

The Halloween event also runs alongside other October activities, but their dates are not necessarily identical. If your goal is specifically Halloween Pumpkin Coins, focus on the Trick or Treat attendance rewards and Season Mission → Event objectives rather than assuming every October event contributes the same currency.
