AION 2 Halloween Event Guide

AION 2 Halloween Event Guide

AION 2's first Global Halloween event combines a limited-time attendance track, weekly missions, Pumpkin Coin rewards, and a separate Candy Key system tied to Expedition and Transcendence dungeons. Most of the event can be completed alongside normal weekly activities, but the rewards use different currencies and deadlines, so knowing which objectives overlap saves a lot of unnecessary grinding.

How the AION 2 Halloween Event Works

The Halloween event is split into two main reward tracks. Halloween Pumpkin Coins come from the 14-day attendance path and weekly Event missions, while Candy Key Fragments come from Expedition and Transcendence dungeons and are used separately to open colored event candies.

That distinction matters because you do not need to choose between the two. Expedition and Transcendence clears can advance their weekly Pumpkin Coin missions while also providing Candy Key Fragments, making those activities some of the most efficient things to complete during the event.

  • Claim the Trick or Treat attendance rewards.
  • Complete the 10 weekly Event missions.
  • Run Expedition and Transcendence for Candy Key Fragments.
  • Use Substance Morph to turn fragments into colored Candy Keys.
  • Spend Pumpkin Coins at the Halloween Coin Merchant.
  • Open colored event candies with the matching keys.

AION 2 Halloween Event Dates

The Trick or Treat Halloween event runs from October 14 through November 4, 2026.

The attendance track itself only requires 14 claimed days, so you have more time than the reward path requires. Missing an individual day does not automatically prevent you from finishing attendance as long as you still claim 14 rewards before the event ends.

A separate event called Conquerors of the Abyss also launched alongside Halloween, but it has an earlier end date of October 28. That event deals with Abyss Rift Stones and Kina rather than Halloween Pumpkin Coins, so do not treat the two event shops as the same system.

Best Weekly Route for the Halloween Event

The most efficient way to handle the event is to fold its objectives into your normal weekly routine instead of treating Halloween as a separate grind.

Start by claiming attendance whenever you log in. Then clear the low-effort missions that require three logins and five scroll uses. After that, complete the Abyss, Shugofesta, Nightmare, Ascension Trial, Expedition, and Transcendence objectives as part of the activities you would already be doing.

Expedition and Transcendence deserve priority because they serve two purposes at once: each has a weekly Pumpkin Coin mission, and both can provide Candy Key Fragments for the separate candy reward system.

The Unique equipment mission is less predictable because it depends on obtaining a qualifying piece of gear, so I would not build the entire weekly route around completing that objective first. Let it clear naturally while working through the rest of the event.

Efficient weekly order:
1. Claim attendance whenever available.
2. Complete the three-login and five-scroll missions.
3. Kill 10 Abyss monsters.
4. Participate in Shugofesta and Dimensional Invasion.
5. Clear Nightmare and Ascension Trial.
6. Run Expedition and Transcendence for both coins and Candy Key Fragments.
7. Finish the Unique equipment objective if it has not completed naturally.

How to Get Halloween Pumpkin Coins

Halloween Pumpkin Coins come from attendance and the weekly Event mission set. The attendance track gives 620 coins across 14 claimed days, while all 10 weekly missions add another 235 coins each time the weekly set resets.

There is no need to farm specific open-world monsters for Pumpkin Coins outside the event objectives. If you are trying to maximize the currency, the important things are consistent attendance and clearing the Event missions before their weekly reset.

For the complete coin breakdown and every individual source, our AION 2 How to Get Halloween Coins guide covers the attendance schedule and mission payouts in detail.

All AION 2 Halloween Weekly Missions

The Halloween event adds 10 weekly objectives under Season Mission → Event. Completing the entire set gives 235 Halloween Pumpkin Coins.

  • Abyss — Hunt 10 monsters in the Abyss — 25 coins
  • Transcendence — Clear one Transcendence Dungeon — 25 coins
  • Expedition — Clear one Expedition Conquest — 25 coins
  • Ascension Trial — Clear one Ascension Trial — 25 coins
  • Nightmare — Clear any Nightmare stage — 25 coins
  • Log In — Log in three times — 30 coins
  • Obtain Gear — Obtain one piece of Unique equipment — 20 coins
  • Use a Scroll — Use five scrolls — 20 coins
  • Dimensional Invasion — Participate once — 20 coins
  • Shugo Festival — Participate once — 20 coins

The mission set resets weekly per server, which makes the weekly reset more important than trying to finish everything in one long session. Clear the activities you normally run first, then check the Event tab and fill whatever gaps remain before reset.

Halloween Attendance Rewards

The Trick or Treat attendance path contains 620 Halloween Pumpkin Coins across 14 claimed days.

Days 1 through 6 award 35 coins each, Day 7 gives 100, Days 8 through 13 return to 35 each, and Day 14 finishes with another 100-coin reward.

  • Days 1–6 — 35 coins each
  • Day 7 — 100 coins
  • Days 8–13 — 35 coins each
  • Day 14 — 100 coins
  • Total — 620 Halloween Pumpkin Coins

This is enough by itself to buy the 250-coin Halloween Chest and still leave a substantial amount for other event-shop purchases, making attendance the most important reward track for anyone who cannot complete every weekly activity.

How Candy Keys and Colored Candies Work

Candy Keys are separate from Halloween Pumpkin Coins. Expedition and Transcendence dungeons can provide Candy Key Fragments, which are then used through Substance Morph to create red, yellow, or blue Candy Keys.

Each key opens a matching event candy in the city, and each color has its own reward pool.

  • Red Candy — 20 Pet Growth Boxes, 10 Battle Scrolls, 5 Halloween Candies, and 5 Halloween Cookies
  • Yellow Candy — 10,000 Abyss Points, 10 Life Crystals, 5 Halloween Candies, and 5 Halloween Cookies
  • Blue Candy — 4 Odyle Energy, 10 Resurrection Stones, 5 Halloween Candies, and 5 Halloween Cookies

The key system is worth doing even if your main goal is the Pumpkin Coin shop because the currencies do not compete with each other. Running the relevant dungeons advances the weekly event missions and the Candy Key track at the same time.

AION 2 Halloween Coin Merchant Locations

Halloween Pumpkin Coins are spent at temporary Coin Merchant NPCs in the major faction towns.

Elyos players can find the merchants in Verteron, Dawn Legion Base, and Zumion Village. Asmodian players can use the merchants in Altgard, Safe Haven, and Nornir Assembly.

You do not need to visit every location. Use whichever merchant is most convenient and check the event inventory before spending a large amount of coins.

Best Halloween Event Rewards to Buy First

The Halloween Chest is the standout purchase if you care about the event-exclusive cosmetic rewards. It costs 250 Pumpkin Coins and contains the skeleton skin along with 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals.

Because attendance alone gives 620 coins, saving the first 250 for the chest is a safe priority for most players who want the seasonal appearance.

After that, the best purchase depends on what your character actually needs. The merchant also carries progression and utility items such as Odyle Energy, tickets, Life Crystals, Resurrection Stones, and seasonal consumables.

Halloween Candy provides an offensive-oriented temporary buff with increased Attack, Defense, maximum Stamina, and Stamina regeneration, while Halloween Cookies trade the Attack bonus for additional HP and MP alongside the Stamina bonuses.

I would avoid spending every coin immediately just because an item is available. Secure the limited reward you care about first, then use the remaining currency on whichever resources are currently holding back your character.

What to Finish Before the Halloween Event Ends

Before November 4, make sure you have claimed as much of the 14-day attendance path as possible, finished any weekly Event missions you still want coins from, spent your remaining Pumpkin Coins, and used any Candy Key Fragments you intend to convert into event keys.

Expedition and Transcendence should be among the last activities you skip because they overlap with both the weekly Pumpkin Coin missions and the Candy Key system.

If you are also participating in Conquerors of the Abyss, remember that its October 28 deadline arrives before Halloween itself ends. Finish anything you want from that event separately rather than assuming you have until November 4 for both.

Before November 4:
Finish the 14-day attendance track.
Complete the weekly Event missions you want.
Craft and use your Candy Keys.
Buy your priority Coin Merchant rewards.
Spend remaining Pumpkin Coins before the event leaves.
