The Dirt-Speckled Amulet in Avowed is an item found during the quest Message From Afar. This guide explains where to find it, what to do with it, and an optional dialogue you can unlock.
Where to Find the Dirt-Speckled Amulet
The amulet is located by a corpse near a ruined house at the entrance to The Strangleroot, close to the Collapsed Gatehouse. You will naturally come across it during the quest Message from Afar.
To find it:
Start at The Strangleroot Entrance.
Look to your left, where you’ll see a corpse near the ruins. The Dirt-Speckled Amulet is on it.
What to Do With the Dirt-Speckled Amulet
Once you have the Dirt-Speckled Amulet, you can return it to Merchant Valtur, who owns Valtur’s Scavenged Sundries in Claviger’s Landing, Dawnshore. When you give him the amulet, he rewards you with 100 Copper Skeyts.
Optional: Speak to Merchant Dagherda
After giving the amulet to Valtur, you can talk to Merchant Dagherda, who stands nearby. She will ask about the amulet and hint at a past relationship with Valtur. This adds some extra lore to their backstory.
