AION 2 How to Check Ping
Ping has a noticeable effect on how responsive AION 2 feels, particularly when dodging attacks, chaining skills, or fighting other players. You do not need to install a separate network tool just to see your connection latency, as AION 2 includes its own Network Status display that can remain visible while you play.

How to Check Ping in AION 2
To check your ping in AION 2, open Settings and enable Display Network Status under the Information Display settings. Once enabled, AION 2 adds a network-status indicator to the game interface so you can monitor your connection while actually playing.

Display Network Status → ON
Your own network latency is displayed through this system, making it much more useful than running a generic internet speed test. You can watch the value while questing, entering a populated area, running a dungeon, or fighting in PvP to see how your actual AION 2 connection behaves under different conditions.
Where Is the Network Status Setting in AION 2?
The current Network Status option is located under Settings, Information Display, and then General. If you are following an older AION 2 settings guide, you may see a different menu path because the option was moved after it was originally introduced.
Earlier versions placed the network-status setting within the graphics and optimization menus. It was later relocated to Information Display, so players following older KR, TW, beta, or pre-launch instructions may be looking in the wrong section.
Once Display Network Status is enabled, leave it on for a while rather than checking one number and immediately turning it back off. A connection that sits at one latency most of the time but periodically spikes is a different problem from a connection that remains consistently high.
What Does Ping Mean in AION 2?
Ping is the amount of time it takes information to travel between your PC and the AION 2 server and return, measured in milliseconds. Lower latency generally means your actions reach the server sooner, while higher latency creates a larger delay between your input and the server responding to it.
That matters in AION 2 because combat involves timing, positioning, dodging, movement, and chained abilities. The difference is not limited to whether your character visually stutters around the map. A poor connection can make otherwise normal combat feel delayed even when your frame rate is perfectly stable.
Pay attention to consistency as much as the raw number. A connection that stays relatively stable is easier to play around than one that repeatedly jumps between low and high latency. If combat suddenly feels delayed, watch the Network Status display at the same time to determine whether latency is actually increasing.
How to Check AION 2 Ping With Windows Resource Monitor
The in-game display should be your first choice, but Windows Resource Monitor provides another way to inspect the connection if you want a second reading or cannot get the Network Status indicator to appear.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, open the Performance section, and launch Resource Monitor. Select the Network tab and find the AION 2 process among the active network connections. The TCP Connections area can display latency in milliseconds for active TCP connections associated with the game.
Windows method:
1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
2. Open Performance in Task Manager.
3. Open Resource Monitor.
4. Select the Network tab.
5. Find the AION 2 process under TCP Connections.
6. Check the Latency (ms) column for the relevant connection.
Resource Monitor is better used as a troubleshooting tool than as your normal ping display. The built-in AION 2 indicator has the advantage of being visible while you are actually moving, fighting, and entering different areas of the game.
AION 2 Ping Not Showing
If you cannot find the ping option, first make sure you are looking under Information Display and General rather than following an older guide that places Network Status under Graphics or Performance. The location of the option changed before the current global release.
If Display Network Status is already enabled but you cannot see the indicator, toggle the setting off and back on and check the corners of the HUD. You can also restart AION 2 after changing the option if the interface has not refreshed correctly.
A browser-based ping test is not a direct replacement for AION 2's own Network Status display. Those tests can give you a general idea of the latency between your connection and a region or test server, but they are not necessarily measuring the exact live connection your AION 2 character is currently using.
The built-in display is therefore the best place to start. It measures the connection that actually matters while you are playing, requires no additional software, and makes it much easier to tell whether a sluggish fight is being caused by network latency or something unrelated such as frame-rate drops.
