Final Fantasy Resonance has 26 Visions to collect, ranging from mainline heroes like Cloud, Tidus, Lightning, and Clive to characters originating in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Most are found at Sanctums as new regions open, while others come from side quests, early story exploration, or a dedicated boss fight. This guide orders every Vision by the earliest chapter you can obtain it, making it much easier to collect the full roster without repeatedly backtracking across the world.

Vision Mastery Explained
All 26 Final Fantasy Resonance Visions and Locations
There are 26 Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance. Sixteen are obtained from Sanctums around the overworld, two can be collected from the cave at Rain's house early in Chapter 1, seven are tied to side quests, and Sephiroth is unlocked by defeating him in a dedicated boss encounter.
- 16 Visions — Overworld Sanctums.
- 2 Visions — Rain's house in Chapter 1.
- 7 Visions — Side quest rewards.
- 1 Vision — Boss fight.
- 26 Visions — Complete collection.
If your goal is the Will Crystallized achievement, you need the entire 26-Vision roster. You can track the rest of the completion requirements in our Final Fantasy Resonance achievements guide.
Chapter 1 Visions
Five Visions can be collected during Chapter 1, making this the best point to start building your roster. Tronn and Leah are found together at Rain's house, while Warrior of Light, Terra, and Cloud each have their own Sanctum.
- Tronn — Breaker: Found inside the cave at Rain's house in the Town of Mitra. Resonance: Hibernal Fury.
- Leah — Medic: Found inside the cave at Rain's house in the Town of Mitra. Resonance: Healing Wind.
- Warrior of Light — Sentinel: Visit the Sanctum of Warrior of Light north of Village Kol. Resonance: Crystal Braver.
- Terra — Commando: Visit the Sanctum of Terra southwest of the Town of Felicitas. Resonance: Riot Blade - Lotus.
- Cloud — Breaker: Visit the Sanctum of Cloud west of Village Kol and north of Siren's Tower. Resonance: Ascension.
Tronn and Leah are especially worth collecting immediately because they give Rain and Lasswell access to Visions before the wider Sanctum hunt opens up across later regions.
Chapter 2 Visions
Chapter 2 adds three more mainline Visions. All three come from Sanctums, so this is primarily a matter of exploring the edges of the newly available regions rather than completing additional quest chains.
- Onion Knight — Commando: Find the Sanctum of Onion Knight near the eastern edge of Dirnado. Resonance: Job Change Attack.
- Zidane — Saboteur: Find the Sanctum of Zidane northwest of Dilmagia after crossing the two bridges beyond Mt. Thunderclap. Resonance: Climax Edge.
- Noctis — Commando: Find the Sanctum of Noctis west of the Mobliz Shipyard. Resonance: Armiger Unleashed.
Chapter 3 Visions
The Chapter 3 group is concentrated around Olderion and its surrounding areas, so it makes sense to collect all three while you are already exploring that part of the map.
- Firion — Breaker: Find his Sanctum north of the Chapter 3 starting point. Resonance: Weaponsmaster.
- Squall — Commando: Find the Sanctum northeast of Olderion, the Aquapolis. Resonance: Blasting Zone.
- Tidus — Breaker: Find the Sanctum west of Olderion, the Aquapolis. Resonance: Blitz Ace.
Squall and Tidus sit on opposite sides of Olderion, so clearing both while you are working through the region prevents an unnecessary return trip later.
Chapter 4 Visions
Three more Sanctums become relevant in Chapter 4, all within Zoldaad Empire Territory. This is another efficient regional sweep because Cecil, Shantotto, and Y'shtola can all be handled before moving on from the territory.
- Cecil — Sentinel: Visit the Sanctum near the center of the Zoldaad Empire Territory map. Resonance: Knight of Duality.
- Shantotto — Commando: Visit the Sanctum in the northern section of Zoldaad Empire Territory. Resonance: Colossal Shantotto II.
- Y'shtola — Breaker: Visit the Sanctum in the southern section of Zoldaad Empire Territory. Resonance: Aetherial Wind.
Chapter 5 Visions
Chapter 5 is the largest Vision jump in the game. Nine become obtainable through a mixture of Sanctums, Brave Exvius side quests, airship exploration, and the Sephiroth encounter. If you have ignored optional content up to this point, this is where the collection starts requiring more than simply checking nearby Sanctums.
- Bartz — Breaker: Find his Sanctum at the northernmost part of Mysidia. Resonance: Spellblade-Dual Wield-Rapid Fire.
- Vaan — Breaker: Find his Sanctum in northern Mysidia. Resonance: True Pyroclasm.
- Lightning — Breaker: Find her Sanctum southeast of Mysidia. Resonance: Zantetsuken.
- Clive — Breaker: Find his Sanctum in the middle of Grandshelt. The area requires the airship. Resonance: True Ifrit-Primed.
- Camille — Commando: Complete The Call from Beyond side quest in Zoldaad. Resonance: Alluvial Undertow.
- Wilhelm — Sentinel: Complete O General! My General! in Zoldaad after finishing The Call from Beyond. Resonance: Towering Rampart.
- Aileen — Breaker: Complete Forger of Wills in Dilmagia. Resonance: Fatal Impact.
- Victoria — Commando: Complete Victoria Revivified in Zoldaad. Resonance: Agony.
- Sephiroth — Commando: Travel to Whirlpool Hollow between the two islands of Grandshelt using the airship, then defeat Sephiroth to obtain his Vision. Resonance: True Octaslash.
Wilhelm is the one Chapter 5 Vision with a direct quest prerequisite: The Call from Beyond must be finished before O General! My General! becomes the relevant unlock path. Camille therefore fits naturally before Wilhelm when clearing the Zoldaad side quests.
Sephiroth also breaks the normal mainline pattern. Reaching Whirlpool Hollow is not enough; you must win the boss fight before True Octaslash and the Sephiroth Vision become available.
Chapter 6 Visions
Only one new Vision needs to be added during Chapter 6, making this one of the simplest points in the collection.
- Amelia — Saboteur: Complete the Errand's End side quest in Mysidia. Resonance: Errand's End.
Chapter 7 Visions
The final two Brave Exvius Visions become available through Chapter 7 side quests. Once Charlotte and Ayaka are collected, any remaining gaps in the 26-Vision roster will come from earlier Sanctums, quests, or Sephiroth rather than a later chapter unlock.
- Charlotte — Sentinel: Complete The Shield of the Weak at Grandport Harbor. Resonance: Resolute Bastion.
- Ayaka — Medic: Complete The Admirable Apprentice at the Town of Sian. Resonance: Angelic Embrace.
How to Unlock Visions in Final Fantasy Resonance
Most mainline Final Fantasy Visions are tied to Sanctums found around the overworld. Approach the large crystal inside a Sanctum to begin a sequence centered on the hero represented there. Complete the interaction and the Vision becomes available to equip.
The Brave Exvius side of the roster works differently. Tronn and Leah are available from Rain's house early in Chapter 1, while Amelia, Camille, Wilhelm, Aileen, Charlotte, Victoria, and Ayaka are rewards from specific side quests that begin appearing later in the story.
Sephiroth is the only Vision in this roster earned directly by winning a boss encounter. His fight is at Whirlpool Hollow and cannot be reached until airship travel gives you access to the location.
How Vision Mastery Works
Collecting a Vision is only the beginning of its progression. Equip one from Party Menu > Equipment & Abilities > Vision, then use that character in combat to build the Vision's Mastery Rank.
Higher Mastery Ranks unlock additional stat bonuses and skill effects tied to that Vision. Mastery is earned through combat while the Vision is equipped, so frequently used Visions will naturally develop much faster than ones left sitting in the collection.
You do not need to max all 26 Visions for achievement completion. The major mastery requirement only asks for eight Visions to reach maximum Mastery Rank, so it is better to settle on a core group you regularly use and let those eight progress throughout the game.
For the full collection, concentrate first on the chapter-by-chapter list above. By the end of Chapter 7, every Vision has a known unlock route, leaving you free to return for any Sanctum, side quest, or special encounter you passed earlier.
