Cloud is one of the earliest major Visions you can add to your roster in Final Fantasy Resonance, but his Sanctum sits far enough away from the natural Chapter 1 route that it is possible to continue the story without finding him. You can unlock Cloud during the opening hours of the game once you reach the western side of the continent and gain access to the route beyond Grandport Harbor.

How to Get Cloud in Final Fantasy Resonance
To get Cloud in Final Fantasy Resonance, progress through Chapter 1 until you can reach Grandport Harbor, then travel north from the harbor and cross the bridge slightly to the east. Continue beyond the sand waterfall, head north past the nearby cave, then loop back south to reach the Sanctum of Cloud.
Enter the Sanctum, interact with the crystal at the end, and complete Cloud's three Vision questions. Your answers do not affect the unlock, so Cloud joins your Vision collection once the sequence is finished regardless of which options you choose.
- Available during Chapter 1.
- Reach Grandport Harbor before attempting the route.
- Travel north and cross the bridge east of the harbor.
- Pass the sand waterfall and continue north.
- Go past the cave, then wrap south to the Sanctum of Cloud.
- Interact with the crystal and finish all three Vision questions.
Where to Find the Sanctum of Cloud
The Sanctum of Cloud is located in the western desert area accessible during Chapter 1. You can begin exploring toward it after the early Earth Shrine sequence, although approaching from the Village of Kol side will not get you directly to the Sanctum.
Continue the main route until you reach Grandport Harbor instead. From there, head north and take the bridge positioned slightly to the east. Once you cross over the sand waterfall, continue north rather than following the more obvious nearby routes.
You will pass a cave along the way. Keep moving beyond it, then circle back toward the south. The Sanctum is tucked into this portion of the desert rather than directly along the main path, which is why it can be passed over during normal Chapter 1 progression.
If you are collecting the rest of the roster at the same time, our Final Fantasy Resonance all Visions locations guide covers every Vision and when each one becomes available.
Do the Cloud Vision Questions Matter?
No. Once you reach the Sanctum crystal, Cloud's sequence asks three questions based on his story, but there is no correct answer combination required to unlock him.
Pick whichever responses you prefer. Cloud is awarded at the end with the same role, abilities, and Resonance regardless of your answers.
Our Final Fantasy Resonance Vision questions and answers guide has the full confirmed Cloud question set if you want to see every option before choosing.
What Does the Cloud Vision Do?
Cloud is a Breaker Vision, making him particularly useful for characters focused on building stagger and then capitalizing on vulnerable enemies. Early in the game, Lasswell is a natural fit because he already fills the same general Breaker role.
Cloud's Resonance attack is Ascension, a powerful single-target attack that becomes especially effective against enemies weak to Lightning. That gives him immediate value in Chapter 1 rather than making him an unlock you simply collect for later.
Siren is one early encounter where that Lightning-focused damage can be particularly useful, so taking the detour for Cloud before pushing deeper into Chapter 1 can pay off almost immediately.
