Gears of War E-Day Achievements Guide

Gears of War E-Day Achievements Guide

Gears of War: E-Day has a much bigger achievement grind than simply clearing the Campaign. Alongside story completion and collectibles, the list stretches deep into Horde Siege, Versus, class leveling, Re-Ups, weapon upgrades, and several classic Gears-style combat challenges.

How Many Achievements Are in Gears of War: E-Day?

Gears of War: E-Day has 54 achievements worth a total of 1,000 Gamerscore. Most are worth 15G, but several of the larger completion milestones award 25G, while For Whom the Bell Tolls is worth 75G and Dead Serious is worth 85G.

Completing all 54 also earns the game's Mythic Achievement, making the full list particularly significant for completionists.

Total Achievements: 54
Total Gamerscore: 1,000G
Campaign: Story, Co-Op, Insane, collectibles, side objectives, and 100% completion
Horde Siege: Missions, classes, equipment, revives, Invasions, kills, and Allfather extraction
Versus: Demolition, Conquest, map-specific tasks, and 25,000 kills
Player Progression: Level 100, Re-Ups, and the Dead Serious meta challenge
Full Completion: Unlock all 54 for the Mythic Achievement

The main thing to know before starting is that this is not a quick Campaign-only completion. Several Horde Siege and Versus requirements are clearly designed as long-term account goals, including 50,000 Horde Siege kills and 25,000 Versus kills.

All Gears of War: E-Day Campaign Achievements

The Campaign contains the story achievements alongside the game's collectibles, secondary objectives, Hard Cases, Supply Cache unlocks, Co-Op completion, and Insane difficulty challenges.

If you are going for 100%, it makes sense to treat Hard Cases, Collectibles, Secondary Objectives, and Supply Cache progression as part of the Campaign run rather than leaving all of that cleanup until the end.

All Gears of War: E-Day Horde Siege Achievements

Horde Siege contains some of E-Day's longest achievement grinds. A handful can be completed through individual challenges, but the full list eventually asks for 50 completed missions, four max-level classes, every Weapon Mod, 50,000 kills, large amounts of Energy spending, and an Allfather extraction.

Stacks, On Stacks, On Stacks — 15G
Spend 150,000 Energy at the Supply Cache in Horde Siege on any difficulty.

Like a Boss — 15G
Successfully complete 25 Invasion Events in Horde Siege on any difficulty.

I WILL MASSACRE YOU — 25G

I'm All Amped Up — 15G
Maintain 30 seconds of Adrenaline with the Injector in Horde Siege.

Turn It Up to 11 — 15G
Execute 50 enemies that have been Stunned by the Sonic Disruptor in Horde Siege.

Down, but Not Dead — 15G
Revive 250 squadmates from DBNO using the Stim Vaporizer in Horde Siege.

Spotted and Slotted — 15G
Pulse 1,000 enemies with the Pulse Drone in Horde Siege.

Never Fight Alone — 15G
Extract from Horde Siege with every squadmate alive on Allfather difficulty.

Form-Up! — 15G
Receive the maximum reward from a Perk Cache in Horde Siege on any difficulty.

Siege Specialist — 25G
Reach maximum level with the Assault, Breacher, Marksman, and Medic classes in Horde Siege.

This Is My Rifle — 15G
Unlock every Weapon Mod in Horde Siege.

Lift Outta Hell — 15G
Complete and survive 50 Horde Siege Missions on Infantry difficulty or higher.

Best I Can Do Is a Pizza Party — 15G
Complete any 100 Secondary Objectives in Horde Siege.

I Didn't Hear No Bell — 15G
Save your entire squad while you are moments from death in Horde Siege.

Who Loves Ya, Baby? — 15G
Revive 20 players from other squads in Horde Siege.

Crepe du Raven — 15G
Carefully inspect the underside of a Raven in Horde Siege.

The best way to approach Horde Siege is to work on several counters simultaneously. Your 50 missions can also contribute toward the 50,000 kills, 100 Secondary Objectives, class levels, Energy spending, Weapon Mods, Invasion Events, revives, and gadget-specific achievements.

I would avoid treating I WILL MASSACRE YOU as something you need to grind immediately. At 50,000 kills, it is better viewed as a background counter while completing the rest of the Horde Siege list.

Player Level and Progression Achievements

Three achievements sit above the individual Campaign, Horde Siege, and Versus objectives and are tied to your overall account progression. These are easy to overlook when separating the list by mode, but all three are required if you want the full 1,000G.

Field Service — 15G
Reach Player Level 100 and Re-Up for the first time.

Got Your Wings — 25G
Re-Up for the final time and claim your Wings.

Dead Serious — 85G
100% the Campaign on Insane, get 25,000 kills in Versus, reach max Player Level, and max all four required Horde Siege classes.

Got Your Wings is considerably more than a single trip to Level 100. Treat Re-Ups as another long-term progression track while you work on Horde Siege and Versus rather than something to start grinding only after every other achievement is finished.

Dead Serious is the real capstone. Much of its requirement overlaps achievements you already need elsewhere, so there is no separate Dead Serious grind if you plan your 100% completion around those requirements from the beginning.

All Gears of War: E-Day Versus Achievements

Versus has fewer dedicated achievements than Horde Siege, but one of them is among the biggest grinds in the entire game.

HEY NOW, YOU'RE AN ALL STAR… — 25G
Get 25,000 kills in Versus.

Somebody Set Us Up the Bomb — 15G
Plant the bomb in Demolition and have it explode without the enemy team defusing it.

It Only Game, Why You Heff to Be Mad? — 15G
Win a game of Conquest without allowing the enemy team to score.

Days Since Last Accident: 0 — 15G
Commit a workplace safety violation on Battleship in Versus.

The 25,000-kill requirement is the one to keep in mind from the start. Unlike the situational Demolition, Conquest, and Battleship achievements, HEY NOW, YOU'RE AN ALL STAR… is a long-term counter and is also required for Dead Serious.

Combat and Miscellaneous Achievements

The remaining achievements are built around specific weapons, enemies, rescues, and combat interactions. These are the ones worth keeping in the back of your mind while playing naturally because several require a particular enemy or situation.

Chainsaw Go Brrrrrrrrr — 15G
Use a chainsaw as intended against a Locust in Campaign or Horde Siege.

Just Let Me Get One More… — 15G
Get 100 Revives.

Explosive Indigestion — 15G
Play a game of explosive cornhole with a Bilefrog.

I Am Heavy Weapons Guy — 15G
Kill 10 enemies in a row using one detached turret.

Two Grubs, One Gut-Punch — 15G
Hit two Grubs with a single Gut-Puncher round.

Brotector — 15G
Save another player who is struggling with a Locust.

Okay, Boomer. — 15G
Carve up a Boomer.

Right in the Ticker — 15G
Convert a Ticker to express air mail and return it to sender.

Payback's A Pitch — 15G
Take revenge on an Armored Wretch that Stunned you.

A couple of these descriptions are deliberately vague. For Explosive Indigestion, an early opportunity comes during Act 2 when you encounter a Bilefrog: damage it and send an explosive into its open mouth to finish the challenge. Crepe du Raven is similarly literal in an unintuitive way: during a Horde Siege extraction, get directly underneath a Raven as it comes down.

These situational achievements are substantially less intimidating than the large progression requirements, but they are also easier to forget. Once you encounter the relevant enemy, weapon, or setup, it is worth knocking the challenge out instead of hoping you naturally recreate the situation later.

Hardest Gears of War: E-Day Achievements

Most of the individual combat achievements are small challenges. The real difficulty comes from the achievements that demand either a complete Campaign run under strict conditions or dozens of hours across multiplayer modes.

Dead Serious — 85G
100% the Campaign on Insane, earn 25,000 Versus kills, reach max Player Level, and max all four required Horde Siege classes.

For Whom the Bell Tolls — 75G
Complete the Campaign on Insane, finish all side missions, and find all hidden items.

I WILL MASSACRE YOU — 25G
Kill 50,000 enemies in Horde Siege.

HEY NOW, YOU'RE AN ALL STAR… — 25G
Earn 25,000 kills in Versus.

Got Your Wings — 25G
Re-Up for the final time and claim your Wings.

Siege Specialist — 25G
Max the Assault, Breacher, Marksman, and Medic Horde Siege classes.

Dead Serious is effectively the capstone for E-Day's major completion systems. If you are aiming for all 1,000G, the Campaign is only one portion of the work; you also need substantial progression in both Horde Siege and Versus.

Best Roadmap for Getting All Gears of War: E-Day Achievements

I would approach the achievement list in phases instead of chasing whichever requirement happens to be closest.

1. Complete Boot Camp.
Grab FNG and learn the basic systems before starting the main completion run.

2. Work through the Campaign while exploring.
Complete Secondary Objectives, collect items, discover Hard Cases, and work through Supply Cache unlocks instead of rushing directly from story objective to story objective.

3. Complete the Campaign on Insane.
Insane completion is required for Today We Are Canceling the Apocalypse and ultimately Dead Serious and For Whom the Bell Tolls.

4. Complete the Co-Op requirement.
Finish every Act in Co-Op for You're My Brother if this was not already covered during your other Campaign runs.

5. Move into Horde Siege.
Level Assault, Breacher, Marksman, and Medic while simultaneously working toward 50 missions, 50,000 kills, Weapon Mods, Energy spending, Secondary Objectives, Invasions, and gadget achievements.

6. Clear the Allfather extraction.
Once your squad and builds are ready, extract with everyone alive on Allfather difficulty for Never Fight Alone.

7. Play Versus with 25,000 kills as the long-term goal.
Complete the Demolition, Conquest, and Battleship challenges along the way rather than leaving those for after the kill grind.

8. Finish Player Level and Re-Ups.
Reach Level 100 for your first Re-Up, then continue toward the final Re-Up required for Got Your Wings.

9. Clean up the situational combat achievements.
Return to any Bilefrog, Boomer, Ticker, Gut-Puncher, turret, revive, or rescue challenge you did not complete naturally.

10. Finish Dead Serious and the full 1,000G.
Once the Campaign, Versus kills, Player Level, and four Horde Siege classes are complete, Dead Serious should fall alongside the remaining cleanup.

There is no need to grind every giant counter individually from zero. Horde Siege in particular has enough overlapping requirements that efficient play should advance several achievements at the same time. The same applies to the Campaign: collectibles, Hard Cases, Secondary Objectives, difficulty completion, and overall completion are much easier to manage when treated as one combined checklist rather than five unrelated tasks.
