Hellraiser Revival All Endings

Hellraiser: Revival gives Aidan one final decision after completing the Ritual of Rebirth. The choice determines whether he accepts the Cenobites' offer or abandons everything he has been pursuing. Both outcomes change his fate considerably, and each unlocks a separate achievement.

How Many Endings Are in Hellraiser Revival?

Hellraiser: Revival has two confirmed endings. One involves accepting the Cenobites' offer and becoming one of them, while the other allows Aidan to remain human by refusing their invitation. Both are available after finishing the main story, without special collectible requirements or earlier decisions.

Ending 1 – Remain Human
Choice: Stay inside the apartment until the opening closes.
Achievement: Human After All

Ending 2 – Become a Cenobite
Choice: Follow the Cenobites through the opening in the wall.
Achievement: Experience Beyond Limits

Neither ending provides the reunion with Sunny that Aidan originally wanted. The difference is what he chooses to do after everything that has happened, rather than whether he successfully rescues her.

Some unofficial guides mention additional endings involving Leviathan, hidden rituals, or special collectibles. However, these have not been substantiated by the completed-game walkthroughs or achievement lists, which document the two outcomes above.

How to Choose Your Ending

After completing the Ritual of Rebirth and returning to the apartment, the Cenobites present Aidan with their final offer. Rather than selecting a dialogue option, you make your decision by either following them or remaining where you are.

The opening in the wall begins closing, giving you a limited opportunity to join them. Walking through it accepts their invitation, while allowing it to close means rejecting their offer.

This distinction matters because standing still is an intentional choice, not a failed objective. You don't need to search for a hidden interaction, attack anyone, or solve another puzzle to remain human.

What Happens If You Stay Human?

To get the human ending, remain in the apartment and let the opening in the wall close. The Cenobites leave without Aidan, and he stays behind with the Merchant.

In the final scene, Aidan sits down and reflects on the need to begin his life again. He recognizes that he has another opportunity to move forward, and the arrival of sunrise reinforces that he has survived his ordeal.

However, surviving doesn't undo what happened with Sunny. Aidan is still left to deal with losing her, and the ending doesn't provide the happy reunion he spent the campaign pursuing.

I would consider this the better of the two outcomes. Aidan retains his humanity and has a future outside the Cenobites' influence, even if he must accept that his original goal is no longer possible.

Ending: Remain Human
How to Unlock: Let the wall close
Aidan's Fate: Survives as a human
Sunny: No reunion
Achievement: Human After All

What Happens If You Join the Cenobites?

To unlock the Cenobite ending, approach the opening in the apartment wall and follow the Cenobites before it closes. Aidan accepts their offer, abandoning his remaining human life in exchange for joining their order.

The consequences are immediate. His transformation begins with the removal of his tongue, followed by a scene in which he is imprisoned in darkness and subjected to the Cenobites' chains.

As his body is torn apart, memories of his time with Sunny return. These memories are among his final experiences as a human before his transformation into a Cenobite.

Perhaps the cruelest part of this ending is that accepting the offer doesn't restore his relationship with Sunny. Aidan sacrifices himself for an existence defined by the Cenobites' interpretation of pleasure and suffering, without achieving the reunion that motivated his journey.

The game also leaves his future within their order largely unexplained. Becoming a Cenobite is the conclusion of this route, rather than the beginning of another playable chapter.

Ending: Join the Cenobites
How to Unlock: Follow them through the wall
Aidan's Fate: Transforms into a Cenobite
Sunny: No reunion
Achievement: Experience Beyond Limits

How to Unlock Both Endings in One Playthrough

You can unlock both Hellraiser: Revival endings without replaying the entire campaign. The game creates a final autosave that lets you return to the apartment decision after finishing either outcome.

1. Complete the story and reach the final apartment scene.

2. Choose either ending and watch its conclusion.

3. Return to the main menu after the ending finishes.

4. Reload the final autosave to return to the apartment.

5. Make the opposite choice to unlock the second ending and its achievement.

There is no advantage to unlocking one ending before the other. The final autosave allows you to experience both outcomes, so choose whichever you prefer first.

If you're earning every achievement, this is much more efficient than starting another campaign. Both ending achievements count toward the full list covered in our Hellraiser Revival achievements guide.

Ultimately, the final decision is less about saving Sunny and more about determining what remains of Aidan after his journey. Refusing the Cenobites means accepting his loss and attempting to rebuild his life, while joining them means surrendering the humanity he still has left.
