Hellraiser Revival How to Beat Charlotte
Charlotte is one of the most aggressive bosses in Hellraiser: Revival, capable of closing the distance almost immediately and dealing massive damage with her bladed limbs. Fortunately, the arena is filled with weapons, explosives, and fire sources that can give you a substantial advantage. Beating her is less about unloading ammunition as quickly as possible and more about using those resources to create openings where she cannot fight back.

How to Beat Charlotte in Hellraiser Revival
To beat Charlotte in Hellraiser: Revival, set her on fire using Dragon Breath shotgun rounds, exploding barrels, or fire thrown with the Genesis Configuration. Burning her temporarily stuns her, allowing you to deal substantial damage with your shotgun before retreating. Repeat this until she climbs onto the cliff, then shoot the explosive zombie she's holding to knock her back into the arena.
Once Charlotte returns, continue using fire until she begins glowing blue. Approach her and use Banish to end the fight.
Best Weapon: Shotgun with Dragon Breath rounds
Charlotte's Weakness: Fire
Best Attack Window: While she's stunned and burning
How to Avoid Her: Dodge lunges and circle the police cars
Cliff Mechanic: Shoot the explosive zombie she's holding
Finishing Move: Banish when she glows blue
The important part is understanding that your fire attacks serve two purposes. They deal damage, but they also interrupt Charlotte long enough to safely land additional shots. This makes fire considerably more useful than simply attacking with whatever weapon has the most ammunition.
Best Weapons and Fire Strategy for Charlotte
I would prioritize Dragon Breath shotgun rounds if you've purchased the upgrade from the vendor. However, you don't need them to win. Charlotte's arena provides several ways to ignite her, so even players without upgraded ammunition can take advantage of her main weakness.
Before triggering the encounter at Sean's altar, collect the nearby ammunition and supplies. There are also bear traps you can place ahead of time, although I wouldn't rely on these as your main way to damage her.
The opening encounter begins with several ordinary enemies rather than Charlotte herself. Use throwable objects where possible to save ammunition, and let the police officers help eliminate the later wave. You'll want your strongest weapons available when Charlotte finally appears.
Once the fight begins, I recommend treating every fire attack as the start of a short damage opportunity.
When Charlotte Is Approaching:
Keep moving around the police cars and prepare a fire attack.
When Charlotte Catches Fire:
Use the opening to shoot her head with your shotgun or Revolver.
When She Recovers:
Stop attacking, create distance, and prepare another ignition.
When You Run Out of Dragon Breath:
Use fire from nearby torches with the Genesis Configuration or ignite the arena's explosive objects.
This approach is safer than standing your ground and exchanging damage. Charlotte can lunge forward quickly, and even a few close-range hits can put you in serious danger.
The two police cars are particularly useful here. Rather than simply running away, circle around them to force Charlotte to follow your path. This buys you room to reload and gives you opportunities to line her up with nearby explosives.
There are also fuel canisters inside the police car trunks, giving you additional options for spreading fire. However, I wouldn't immediately destroy every explosive object available. Leaving some fire sources unused gives you another way to interrupt Charlotte after she returns from the cliff.
Also watch where you're moving. Bear traps and burning areas can hurt you too, so don't blindly circle the arena while focusing entirely on Charlotte.
How to Stop Charlotte's Cliff Attack
At roughly half health, Charlotte retreats onto the cliff overlooking the arena. This is the point where you need to change tactics, because shooting directly at Charlotte isn't the intended way to bring her back down.
First, she'll summon explosive zombies that rush toward you. These enemies can deal enormous damage if they detonate nearby, so prioritize killing them before they get close rather than trying to continue attacking Charlotte.
After the initial enemies are cleared, Charlotte begins picking up additional explosive zombies and throwing them toward you.
Wait until she lifts one over her head, then shoot the zombie's glowing stomach while she's still holding it. The explosion damages Charlotte and knocks her off the cliff, returning the fight to the ground.
1. Kill the explosive zombies rushing toward you.
2. Look up at Charlotte on the cliff.
3. Wait for her to lift an explosive zombie overhead.
4. Shoot its glowing stomach before she throws it.
5. Resume fighting Charlotte after the explosion knocks her down.
I would keep some pistol or Revolver ammunition available for this part. You're aiming at a specific target above the arena, so a precise shot is more useful than firing your shotgun toward the cliff and hoping to connect.
Once Charlotte lands, you don't need to learn another complicated attack pattern. The same fire strategy works against her, although she'll remain dangerous if you let her get too close.
What to Do if You Keep Dying to Charlotte
If you're struggling with Charlotte, the first thing I'd change is how you're using your ammunition. It's tempting to continuously shoot because she has a large body and is relatively easy to hit, but that leaves you exposed to her lunges and grabs.
Instead, concentrate on dealing damage while she's burning. You can still use ordinary shots between those openings, but you shouldn't sacrifice your positioning just to land another hit.
Running Out of Ammo?
Check the supply boxes and police car trunks. Save shotgun ammunition for the moments when Charlotte is stunned, and use environmental fire when possible.
Keep Getting Grabbed?
Dodge her approach with R1/RB instead of trying to outrun her in a straight line. Use the police cars to create distance.
Don't Have Dragon Breath Rounds?
Pull fire from the torches using the Genesis Configuration and use the explosives scattered around the arena.
Explosive Zombies Keep Killing You?
Stop attacking Charlotte and eliminate the incoming zombies from a distance. Their explosions can quickly end an otherwise successful attempt.
Charlotte Won't Come Down From the Cliff?
Aim for the explosive zombie she's holding overhead, not Charlotte herself.
Another useful adjustment is to avoid spending your strongest resources on the enemies that appear before Charlotte. The police officers can handle much of that encounter, and ordinary enemies are generally easier to deal with using throwable objects.
If you survive the opening without exhausting your ammunition and preserve several fire sources for Charlotte, the fight becomes much more manageable.
How to Finish Charlotte's Boss Fight
After knocking Charlotte down from the cliff, continue igniting her and attacking during the resulting openings. Eventually, she'll begin flashing blue, indicating that you can perform the Banish finisher.
Approach Charlotte and activate Banish to defeat her. You'll receive Charlotte's Heart, which is needed for Sunny's revival, and can also collect Charlotte's Crown from her remains to sell for coins.
Defeating her also unlocks the Heart on Fire achievement. If you're working toward full completion, you can find it alongside the other story achievements in our Hellraiser Revival achievements guide.
Ultimately, you don't need to overpower Charlotte through constant gunfire. Use fire to control when she can attack, reserve ammunition for those safe openings, and interrupt her cliff attack by shooting the explosive zombie overhead. Once you've established that pattern, the encounter becomes much more predictable.
