WARDOGS Best Guns Tier List
WARDOGS has a pretty large armoury, but simply buying the most expensive gun available is not necessarily the best way to build a loadout. Price varies enormously, effective range can completely change a weapon's usefulness, and WARDOGS' armor and damage falloff systems make the way a gun deals its damage just as important as how quickly it fires. For my tier list, I am putting more weight on how much a gun actually gives you for the slot and money rather than copying a straight damage chart.

The FAL, M4, and AK74 Are the Best Guns in WARDOGS
My S Tier for WARDOGS is the FAL, M4, and AK74, although each gets there for a different reason. The FAL is my overall number one because WARDOGS rewards meaningful damage per shot once armor mitigation and range falloff enter the equation. The M4 gives you a much less expensive route into the top end of the armoury, while I am higher on the AK74 than most tier lists because its $1,600 price makes it exceptionally difficult to ignore when ranking weapons for actual loadouts rather than theoretical strength alone.
Just below those three, I have the PKM, SVD, Super-45, M249 SAW, Galil, and T-21 in A Tier. Several of those weapons can absolutely outperform an S Tier gun within the job they are designed for, but my S Tier is reserved for guns I would prioritize when balancing combat effectiveness against what you actually have to spend to bring one into a match.
That is also why some extremely powerful and expensive options land lower than you might expect. A gun does not automatically become S Tier because it can dominate one particular range or because it has an $8,000 price tag.
How I Ranked the WARDOGS Guns
This is not a tier list based exclusively on maximum damage or rate of fire. I am weighting four things together: combat effectiveness, useful engagement range, how restrictive the weapon is, and price.
The damage model is especially important. Armor reduction and damage falloff are applied to individual hits, which gives harder-hitting shots an inherent advantage because fewer individual hits need to pass through those reductions. That is one of the main reasons I still have the FAL at the top rather than automatically rewarding whichever rifle throws the most rounds downrange.
Price then acts as the tiebreaker. If two guns occupy a similar practical role but one costs thousands more without changing what I can realistically accomplish with the loadout, I am going to favor the less expensive option. Conversely, I am willing to pay significantly more for something like the FAL when the weapon itself gives me a compelling reason to do it.
I am also ranking guns rather than every weapon in the game, so I have left the Compound Bow out of the list. It can be evaluated separately as a specialized weapon, but mixing it into a gun ranking makes the comparison less useful.
S Tier: FAL, M4, AK74
FAL — $6,500. The FAL is my number one gun in WARDOGS. It is expensive, but this is one of the cases where I think the premium is justified. Damage per shot matters heavily against armor and at range, and that pushes the FAL ahead of faster rifles that depend on landing more individual hits. If money is not the limiting factor and I am picking one rifle around which to build the rest of the loadout, this is my choice.
M4 — $2,800. The M4 is considerably cheaper than the FAL while still belonging in the top conversation. The 5.56 rifles share the same 28 base damage and distinguish themselves through characteristics such as fire rate and muzzle velocity, so there is less reason to spend based purely on expecting a massive per-shot damage increase. At $2,800, the M4 hits a much easier price point than many of WARDOGS' high-end options.
AK74 — $1,600. This is my biggest departure from tier lists that leave the AK74 somewhere in the middle. I am putting it in S Tier because a useful tier list should account for the loadout you can repeatedly afford, not just the gun you would choose with unlimited money. The AK74 costs $1,200 less than the M4, $2,900 less than the PKM, and $4,900 less than the FAL. That value is enough for me to promote it above several weapons that may look more impressive when price is ignored.
A Tier: PKM, SVD, Super-45, M249 SAW, Galil, T-21
PKM — $4,500. The PKM is still one of the strongest guns in WARDOGS, but I have it just outside S Tier because my ranking gives price and general loadout flexibility more weight. At $4,500, it is a serious investment, and the cheaper S Tier rifles leave considerably more money available elsewhere in the loadout.
SVD — $4,800. Similar logic puts the SVD in A Tier. It remains one of the standout options in its category, but spending nearly $5,000 on one gun needs to meaningfully fit the type of fight you intend to take. I would not rank it below the cheaper rifles because it is weak; I rank it below them because they ask for less commitment.
Super-45 — $2,600. The Super-45 has one of the most interesting tradeoffs in the entire list. Its close-range output is exceptional, but its effectiveness drops dramatically beyond roughly 50 meters. That keeps it out of my general-purpose S Tier, but inside the distance where it is meant to operate, it can effectively become an S Tier gun. If your planned fights are predominantly close, I would treat it that way.
M249 SAW — $3,200. The M249 sits in a price range I find much easier to justify than the PKM while remaining one of the stronger options in the armoury. That combination earns it a comfortable A Tier rather than dropping it into the huge middle group.
Galil — $2,200. I have the Galil a tier higher than some rankings because of where it sits financially. At $2,200, you are not committing the money required for a FAL, SVD, or PKM, which makes it a much easier gun to work into a practical kit.
T-21 — $600. The T-21 is difficult to rank normally because its price is so far removed from the rest of the upper tiers. At only $600, it does not have to compete directly with the FAL to be valuable. It needs to give you enough weapon for a fraction of the investment, and that makes it one of my favorite value choices in the entire list.
B Tier: BMR-308, M500, SKS, MP5, AMP-9, AMR 50, SV98, A-91, Deagle, MGL-40
B Tier is where my list becomes much more conditional. I would happily use the guns here, but either the price, specialization, or alternatives above them stop me from treating them as default recommendations.
BMR-308 — $6,000. My issue with the BMR-308 is not that it belongs among WARDOGS' bad guns. The problem is what else becomes available once you are willing to spend $6,000. At that point, I want a very strong reason not to spend another $500 and simply move into the FAL.
M500 — $1,200. The M500 lands comfortably in B Tier for me because it does not require a massive investment to serve its role. I like specialized guns considerably more when they do not consume the budget of an entire premium primary.
SKS — $2,400. The SKS sits in an awkward part of the pricing ladder. It is affordable compared with the premium rifles, but once you are spending $2,400, you are also approaching guns like the $2,800 M4. That keeps it useful without making it one of my first purchases.
MP5 — $1,500. The MP5 is another reasonable mid-priced option, but it has to compete with both the cheaper weapons below it and the Super-45 when I specifically want to prioritize close-range output. That leaves it as a dependable middle-tier choice.
AMP-9 — $900. At $900, the AMP-9 gets a boost from price. I would rather have an affordable gun that does what I need than unnecessarily sink several thousand more into every slot, and that is exactly the kind of value that keeps the AMP-9 out of the lower tiers.
AMR 50 — $8,800. This is the perfect example of why price matters in my tier list. The AMR 50 is the most expensive gun here by a substantial margin. That does not make it bad, but at $8,800 I view it as a deliberate specialist purchase rather than something that belongs among the best general recommendations. If you specifically need what the AMR 50 offers, the calculus changes. For a broad best-guns ranking, that enormous commitment knocks it down.
SV98 — $5,200. The SV98 has a similar problem at a lower price. Once I am spending more than $5,000, comparisons against the rest of WARDOGS' premium armoury become unavoidable. It can make sense for the right role, but it is not where I would direct someone simply asking which gun to buy.
A-91 — Free. Free deserves consideration. The A-91 obviously cannot be judged against a $6,500 rifle as though acquisition cost means nothing. I still would not call it one of the best guns outright, but as something that requires no purchase price, it has a place in B Tier for players who care about preserving money.
Deagle — $900. I am moving the Deagle up compared with more conservative rankings. At $900 it is inexpensive enough that I care more about what it adds to the overall kit than whether it can directly compete with primary weapons. That is a better way to judge a sidearm.
MGL-40 — $6,000. The MGL-40 is another gun I would buy for a specific purpose rather than because it provides the best general value. Its $6,000 price makes that distinction important, so B Tier feels right without pretending it is interchangeable with a normal rifle.
C Tier: MK22, Bushmaster M17S, KH-2002, Mosin Nagant, PP-19 Vityaz, Judge, GGX 18, MP43, M1911
C Tier is not my “never touch these” tier. These are guns where I generally see a stronger reason to take something above them, but low prices or specific use cases can still make them worthwhile.
MK22 — $6,400. The MK22 takes one of the biggest hits from my value-based ranking. At $6,400, it costs only $100 less than the FAL. When two options sit that close financially, the comparison becomes ruthless, and I would rather spend the extra $100 on my number one gun unless I specifically want the MK22 for its role.
Bushmaster M17S — Free. Free keeps the Bushmaster relevant, but I am not elevating every zero-cost gun simply because it costs nothing. Its main advantage in this ranking is that using it preserves your money for the rest of the kit.
KH-2002 — Free. The same principle applies to the KH-2002. It has a legitimate economic purpose, particularly when you do not want to risk a more expensive primary, but that does not automatically make it one of the strongest guns available.
Mosin Nagant — $4,500. At $4,500, the Mosin has to compete with several very serious weapons. The PKM costs exactly the same and the SVD is only $300 more, which makes the Mosin difficult for me to recommend as a broad purchase unless you specifically prefer what it offers.
PP-19 Vityaz — $1,200. This is much easier to stomach financially, but the crowded selection of inexpensive guns means price alone is not enough to push the PP-19 into B Tier.
Judge — $250. At this price, I do not really care that the Judge is not competing with the best guns in the game. It costs $250. That makes it an inexpensive tool rather than something around which I would build a loadout.
GGX 18 — $800. The GGX 18 falls into a similar category. I can justify it far more easily than one of the expensive C Tier options, but there are enough affordable alternatives above it that I still have it below the midpoint.
MP43 — $400. The MP43 is cheap enough to have a purpose even from C Tier. If your goal is simply limiting what you have financially tied up in the kit, that $400 price can matter much more than its letter on a tier list.
M1911 — $300. I am actually moving the M1911 out of the bottom tier because I think ranking a $300 sidearm by the same standard as a $6,500 primary misses the point. I still would not call it one of the best guns in WARDOGS, but for $300, C Tier is a fairer representation of what it can contribute to a budget-conscious kit.
D Tier: Scout Rifle TD, GGX 17
Scout Rifle TD — $1,100. The Scout Rifle TD is my hardest gun to recommend because unlike several of the cheap C Tier weapons, $1,100 puts it into a price range where other options begin making much stronger arguments for your money.
GGX 17 — $200. The GGX 17 sits at the bottom as a weapon I would use because it is available and costs almost nothing, not because I am actively looking for it. Its $200 price prevents it from being financially painful, but cheap and best are two very different things.
The Best WARDOGS Guns for the Money
If I remove the idea that every player has unlimited money, the tier list changes quite a bit. The FAL remains my favorite premium gun, but the AK74 is arguably the most interesting purchase in the entire armoury at $1,600. It costs less than one-quarter of the FAL's price while still being strong enough for me to put it in S Tier.
The M4 is my next step up at $2,800. It lands in a useful middle ground where you can spend substantially more than you would on the AK74 without entering the $4,500-to-$8,800 territory occupied by many of the premium options.
At the extreme budget end, the $600 T-21 is the gun I would pay attention to. The A-91 and other free options obviously win on literal purchase price, but the T-21 is inexpensive enough that it can make sense even when you are deliberately spending money on an upgrade.
This is also why I would not automatically save up for the single most expensive gun available. The $8,800 AMR 50 costs $7,200 more than an AK74 and $6,000 more than an M4. A higher price can be justified when you specifically need the weapon's role, but it does not inherently make the entire loadout better.
My Final WARDOGS Gun Tier List
S Tier: FAL, M4, AK74.
A Tier: PKM, SVD, Super-45, M249 SAW, Galil, T-21.
B Tier: BMR-308, M500, SKS, MP5, AMP-9, AMR 50, SV98, A-91, Deagle, MGL-40.
C Tier: MK22, Bushmaster M17S, KH-2002, Mosin Nagant, PP-19 Vityaz, Judge, GGX 18, MP43, M1911.
D Tier: Scout Rifle TD, GGX 17.
The biggest thing I would avoid is treating this as a pure damage leaderboard. WARDOGS has guns ranging from free to $8,800, and the best choice changes considerably once you care about the rest of the loadout and how often you are willing to pay that price. That is why my list pushes the AK74 much higher, drops several expensive specialist guns, and keeps the FAL at number one despite its own high price.
