R.E.P.O. Banger Monster Guide

R.E.P.O. Bang monster that is a skull that runs at you and blows up in teh game

The Banger in R.E.P.O. is basically a walking time bomb with attitude. It’s a small skull-like enemy, packed with explosives, and not too bright—but what it lacks in intelligence, it makes up for in pure destruction.

If it spots you or takes damage, its fuse ignites, and it charges at the nearest player like it just found out payday got delayed. Once lit, the fuse cannot be put out, and the explosion is an instant kill up close, with high damage in a wider area.

How to Survive a Banger Encounter

  • Throw It Away – If you pick one up, you can throw it like a grenade. Just remember, it breaks free after about 3 seconds, so either toss it into a pit, lava, or acid before it explodes.

  • Use It Against Enemies – With good timing, you can throw a Banger at other monsters and let them take the hit instead.

  • Keep Moving – The explosion isn’t hard to avoid if you’re paying attention.

    • Walk away calmly until you hear its final fuse warning sound, then sprint like your life depends on it (because it does).

  • Don’t Stand Too Close to Teammates – The blast radius is large, and getting caught in a group wipe is embarrassing.

Final Blurb

The Banger is terrifying if you panic, but manageable if you stay calm and use your environment wisely. Whether you’re tossing it into a pit or tricking it into taking out other monsters, the key is thinking fast and not standing too close when it blows.
