How to Survive the Peeper (Eye Monster)

The Peeper is a ceiling-dwelling creature that stays closed until a player enters its line of sight. The moment it opens, it forcibly drags your crosshair toward it. If you stare for three seconds or more, it starts dealing 10 damage per second until you manage to break eye contact.

What Makes It Dangerous?

  • Takes control of your aim, making escape difficult.

  • Deals continuous damage if you don’t look away fast enough.

  • Disorients players by zooming in their field of view and raising their voice pitch, making movement confusing.

How to Avoid Its Effect

  • Break eye contact immediately—looking away causes it to disappear after a few seconds.

  • Retrace your steps—if your crosshair suddenly jerks toward something, backtrack quickly.

  • Duck into a doorway or under a table—this usually blocks its view.

  • Stick with teammates—the Peeper can only target one person at a time, so someone else can close a door or guide you away.

Final Tip

If someone starts stumbling around and speaking like they inhaled an entire balloon, they’ve been caught by the Peeper. Either help them out, or let them figure it out the hard way.
