If you’ve played R.E.P.O. and had a fast, flying creature latch onto your face while making you vomit uncontrollably, congratulations—you’ve met the Spewer, also known as the worst surprise in the game.

It doesn’t directly kill you, but it will ruin your day by making you nauseous, useless, and a hazard to everything around you.

What Makes the Spewer a Nightmare?

  • Facehugging menace – If it touches you, it latches on for 10 seconds to a full minute, turning you into a walking vomit machine.

  • Spews acid – The green puke damages players, enemies, scrap, and anything breakable (including your dignity).

  • Self-defense mode – Corner it, and it vomits all over everything for 10 damage per second.

  • Weirdly useful – Spewer vomit can kill Clowns in three pukes, making it an accidental weapon if used strategically.

How to Avoid or Get Rid of a Spewer

  • Stay out of sight – If it sees you, it either charges at your face or pauses to puke. Neither is great.

  • Dodge-roll to shake it off – If it latches on, roll like your life depends on it before it makes you puke.

  • Turn away from valuables – If it’s attached, don’t face scrap, teammates, or anything breakable—unless you hate money.

  • Scare it away – If you grab it before it attaches, it panics and flies off like a weird, fleshy balloon.

Final Blurb

The Spewer is less of a direct killer and more of a chaos machine that ruins your loot, wrecks your teammates, and generally makes life awful. Shake it off fast, use its puke against enemies, and for the love of all things valuable—don’t face your scrap pile when it’s attached.
