AION 2 How to Leave Spacetime Rift
Spacetime Rifts in AION 2 allow you to enter the opposing faction's territory for exploration, quests, and other activities. However, once you've crossed over, returning home isn't handled through the same portal you entered. You can leave whenever you're finished, and there are multiple ways to get back without waiting for your remaining rift time to expire.

How to Leave Spacetime Rift in AION 2
To leave a Spacetime Rift in AION 2, press M to open your map and click the circular region-selection icon with a star in the upper-right corner. Switch to your home faction's territory, then use a teleport scroll to travel to an available destination there.
1. Press M to open your map.
2. Click the circular icon with a star in the upper-right corner.
3. Select Verteron if you're Elyos, or Altgard if you're Asmodian.
4. Choose an available teleport destination in your faction's territory.
5. Use a teleport scroll to return home.
This is the simplest way to exit a rift without dying or waiting for the timer. You don't need to find the original portal or return to the location where you entered the enemy region.
Other Ways to Leave a Spacetime Rift
If you don't have a teleport scroll, another option is to die and select the option to respawn at a spawn point in your home territory. This can be useful if you're stranded somewhere dangerous and cannot safely travel elsewhere.
Be careful when resurrecting inside the enemy region, particularly near settlements and checkpoint statues. Hostile faction guards can kill you almost immediately, and repeatedly using resurrection stones in the same location may leave you trapped in a cycle of deaths.
Normal Exit: Teleport to a location in your home faction's territory.
If You're Stuck: Die and choose to respawn back in your own region.
If You Don't Leave: Your Spacetime Rift stay is limited by your remaining usage time.
If you've been repeatedly killed by guards, returning to your own territory is generally better than spending more resurrection stones trying to escape the same dangerous location.
Do You Have to Leave Before the Spacetime Rift Closes?
No. The portal's opening duration and your allowed time inside the enemy region are two separate mechanics. A Spacetime Rift remains open for 10 minutes after appearing, but your default Spacetime Rift Usage Time is 60 minutes.
The 10-minute window determines how long the portal is available for entry. It doesn't mean you have to complete your activities and leave within those same 10 minutes.
Duration tickets can also extend your available time, with one ticket adding 10 minutes and another adding 30 minutes. If you stay until your allowed time is exhausted, your visit ends rather than requiring you to locate the original entrance.
For most players, teleporting back to your own faction is the quickest option. The rift timer is mainly worth watching if you plan to remain in enemy territory for quests or exploration, rather than leaving immediately after finishing your objectives.
