AION 2 How to Play With Friends
Aion 2 has several multiplayer systems for teaming up with other players, whether you want to quest alongside someone you know or put together a group for Expeditions, Sanctuaries, and other PvE activities. Friends and Parties are handled separately, so getting everyone together starts with adding the players you want to keep in contact with before forming the group you'll actually play in.

How to Play With Friends in Aion 2
To play with friends in Aion 2, create a Party and send a Party Invite to the player you want to join. Once they accept the invitation, they will be added to your group and appear in the Party UI, allowing you to enter supported multiplayer activities together.
If you plan to play with the same people regularly, adding them to your Friends List first makes it easier to find and contact them again. For dungeon content, Aion 2 also includes built-in group tools, although those are more useful for filling empty Party slots or finding other players than grouping with one specific friend.
How to Add Friends in Aion 2
Open the Friends menu and use the player search option to find your friend's character name. Send them a friend request, and they will appear on your Friends List once they accept it.
You can also add someone directly when their character is nearby. Select the player, open their character interaction menu, and choose the option to add them as a friend. This is useful after meeting someone while questing or completing multiplayer content without having to manually search for their name afterward.
Incoming friend requests can be accepted or declined from the same Friends management menu.
How to Create a Party and Invite Friends
Open the Party interface from the gameplay HUD and create a new Party. The setup menu lets the Party leader choose options including the group's category, acquisition method, and reward distribution settings.
Once the Party has been created, invite the players you want to join. You can also select another player's character and use the Party Invite option when they are nearby. After they accept, they will be added to the Party and can join you in compatible group content.
For activities such as Expeditions and Sanctuaries, you can also open the activity itself and use its matchmaking options. Quick Join searches for an available group and places you into a Party with open slots, making it useful when you and your friends do not have enough players to fill the entire group yourselves.
Can You Play With Friends on Another Server in Aion 2?
Aion 2 supports adding players from other servers to your Friends List, and applicable multiplayer content also supports cross-server grouping. This means choosing different servers does not automatically prevent you from keeping another player added or grouping with them for supported activities.
Cross-server support can depend on the content you are trying to enter, however. The available Party and matchmaking options for each activity will show what grouping options are supported.
Can Elyos and Asmodians Play Together in Aion 2?
Elyos and Asmodian players can be matched together for applicable PvE dungeon content. Aion 2's dungeon matchmaking therefore allows cross-faction Parties in activities that support the system.
This does not mean the two factions can freely group together for every part of the game. The confirmed cross-faction functionality applies to supported PvE content, so check the activity's Party options rather than assuming normal faction restrictions are removed everywhere.
How Many Friends Can Play Together in Aion 2?
Party size depends on the activity. Expeditions and Transcendence dungeons support groups of up to five players, while larger Sanctuary content can support as many as 10 players.
Expeditions: Up to 5 players
Transcendence Dungeons: Up to 5 players
Sanctuaries: Up to 10 players
The activity interface displays its supported or recommended Party size before you enter. When using matchmaking, Aion 2 places players into groups that still have available slots.
