Battleplan Achievements Guide
Battleplan has 53 achievements at launch, covering the full campaign along with officer development, Elite units, casualties, logistics, historical photos, difficulty, and several one-off actions that are easy to overlook. A lot of the longer requirements can be worked on simultaneously, so planning for them during the campaign is much faster than treating all 53 as separate grinds afterward.
If you want a stronger handle on the systems behind these achievements, our Battleplan tips and tricks guide covers supply, scouting, breakthroughs, Zone Orders, officers, terrain, and how to keep an offensive moving.

Best Battleplan 100% Achievement Roadmap
The efficient route is to separate achievements into things you can complete immediately, counters that should run throughout the campaign, and requirements that are better left for cleanup.
Start: Complete both training missions
Early campaign: Customize something, issue a manual order, spend a skill point and use your first Active Officer skill
Entire campaign: Collect photos, capture logistics, target enemy officers and preserve useful veterans
Officer development: Work toward Level 10, 100 learned skills and 100 Active skill uses
Unit development: Keep experienced formations alive for Elite veterancy
Late cleanup: Officer-loss requirements, difficulty wins, Roll of Honour and whichever long counters remain
The important part is overlap. A single offensive can inflict enemy casualties, capture a Supply Depot, take out an enemy officer, develop veteran units and move through territory containing historical photos. That is much more efficient than finishing the campaign and then trying to farm each counter independently.
Campaign and Training Achievements
The most direct achievements come from simply completing Battleplan's campaign and tutorial missions.
Welcome to Europe comes from the first training mission, while Practice Makes Perfect requires the second. Completing the full training sequence also gives Fully Trained.
The campaign then has individual achievements for Battle of Cherbourg, Battle of Caen, Operation Cobra, Falaise Pocket, Channel Ports, Operation Market Garden, Battle of the Scheldt, Battle of Elsenborn Ridge, Siege of Bastogne, Rhineland Offensive and Operation Varsity.
Regional progress also feeds into Normandy Star, Lowlands Star and Ardennes Star, while Invade Germany tracks reaching German territory. Campaign Star is the final base-campaign completion achievement.
Because so many other achievement counters advance during these missions, do not treat the campaign as something to rush through before beginning the achievement hunt. The campaign itself should be the main achievement grind.
Work on Officer Achievements Before Sacrificing Anyone
Officer achievements pull in opposite directions. Some reward keeping officers alive and developing them, while others specifically require losing them.
Learning: Spend one Officer skill point
Rising Star: Reach Officer Level 5
Tactical Genius: Reach Officer Level 10
Junior Staff: Learn 10 Officer skills total
Senior Staff: Learn 100 Officer skills total
Develop your useful officers first. Losing an experienced officer early can slow down Tactical Genius and the cumulative skill achievements, while keeping them alive allows several requirements to progress at the same time.
Once you already have developed officers and enough campaign progress behind you, Tragedy and Lose a Friend become easier to approach without sabotaging your stronger formations.
Start Using Active Officer Skills Early
Active Officer skills have a cumulative achievement chain that reaches 100 uses.
Direct Intervention: 1 Active Officer skill use
No Risk, No Reward: 10 uses
Lead from the Front: 100 uses
Lead from the Front is exactly the kind of achievement that becomes annoying if you ignore the mechanic for most of the campaign. Use appropriate Active skills throughout normal operations and let the counter accumulate naturally.
You should still use them when they make tactical sense rather than activating abilities purely for the counter if doing so exposes an important officer or headquarters unnecessarily.
Tragedy, Lose a Friend and the Family Letter
Three achievements are connected to officer losses.
Tragedy: Lose any officer
Lose a Friend: Lose an officer with at least 5 skill points
We Regret to Inform You...: Write a letter informing the family
If you want to minimize wasted progress, do not intentionally lose a fresh officer just for Tragedy and then later sacrifice another experienced one for Lose a Friend.
Let an officer reach the five-skill-point requirement first. Losing that officer can potentially cover the officer-loss requirements together, and when the game gives you the family-notification interaction, write the letter rather than skipping it.
Combat Casualties and Elite Units Should Progress Together
Battleplan tracks huge cumulative casualty totals on both sides.
War: Inflict 1,000 enemy casualties
Bane: Inflict 10,000
Scourge: Inflict 100,000
A Statistic: Inflict 1,000,000
A Thousand Souls: Suffer 1,000 casualties
Price of Victory: Suffer 10,000
The Ultimate Sacrifice: Suffer 100,000
The enemy casualty achievements reward sustained combat, but intentionally throwing away your own formations early is inefficient because Battleplan simultaneously rewards keeping units alive long enough to gain veterancy.
Elite: Have 1 unit reach Elite veterancy
Cream of the Crop: Have 10 Elite units
Best in the World: Have 100 Elite units
Let normal combat build the friendly casualty counters while you preserve formations that are close to becoming Elite. Deliberately inflating friendly losses should be a cleanup strategy only if The Ultimate Sacrifice remains unfinished much later.
Target Enemy Headquarters for Three Achievements
Enemy officer achievements count captures, wounds and kills, so you are not required to produce one specific outcome.
Target Down: 1 enemy Officer
Loss of Leadership: 10 enemy Officers
Complete Breakdown: 50 enemy Officers
That makes opposing headquarters valuable secondary targets whenever the operational situation allows it.
Do not abandon the actual mission objective just to hunt one officer, but if a breakthrough exposes enemy command elements, removing them contributes to a 50-officer achievement that would otherwise become a substantial cleanup grind.
Collect Historical Photos During the Campaign
The historical-photo chain reaches 300 discoveries.
Curious: Unlock 1 historical photo
War Buff: Unlock 100 historical photos
Historian: Unlock 300 historical photos
Historian is one of the achievements most likely to create unnecessary cleanup if you ignore historical content during normal play.
Whenever the campaign moves into new territory, check the available historical-photo locations while you are already operating there. Turning 300 photos into something you collect gradually is much easier than finishing the war and realizing almost the entire collectible chain is still unfinished.
Capture Supply Depots and Hubs Whenever It Helps the Offensive
Battleplan has two achievements specifically tied to taking enemy logistics.
Supply Raiders: Capture 50 enemy Supply Depots
Supply & Demand: Capture 10 enemy Supply Hubs
These are good achievements to pursue naturally because attacking logistics already supports the wider battle.
If two possible advance routes are tactically similar, the route that also takes an enemy Depot gives you achievement progress while disrupting the opposing supply network.
Supply Hubs deserve even more attention because the requirement is lower at 10. If a mission presents a practical chance to take one while advancing toward the real objective, include it in the plan rather than assuming you will find enough later.
Easy-to-Overlook Battleplan Achievements
Several achievements only require one action, which makes them easy to finish but also easy to forget while concentrating on the campaign.
Alternate History: Customize a unit or Officer name, portrait or insignia
Micro Manager: Give one manual order to a unit
Learning: Spend one Officer skill point
Direct Intervention: Use one Active Officer skill
We Regret to Inform You...: Write the family letter after an officer loss
Remembrance Day: Let the entire Roll of Honour finish without skipping
Alternate History and Micro Manager are especially worth knocking out early because neither requires a long-term build or specific campaign result.
Remembrance Day is different because the requirement depends on what you do not do. When the Roll of Honour begins, leave it running until the complete sequence ends rather than using the normal skip input.
Difficulty Achievements
Battleplan has two achievements tied directly to mission difficulty.
I Like A Challenge: Win a mission above Normal difficulty
Best of the Best: Win a mission on the highest difficulty
The most efficient approach is to use a mission you already understand well rather than combining the game's hardest difficulty with a scenario you are still learning.
Once you know the terrain, objectives, likely supply problems and where your offensive normally succeeds, raising the difficulty leaves fewer unknowns to solve at once.
Longest Battleplan Achievements to Finish
The campaign-completion achievements are finite. The achievements most likely to determine your final 100% completion time are the large cumulative counters.
A Statistic: 1,000,000 enemy casualties
Historian: 300 historical photos
Best in the World: 100 Elite units
Senior Staff: 100 learned Officer skills
Lead from the Front: 100 Active Officer skill uses
Complete Breakdown: 50 enemy Officers
Supply Raiders: 50 enemy Supply Depots
The Ultimate Sacrifice: 100,000 friendly casualties
The mistake is treating these as eight separate farms.
A long campaign battle can advance A Statistic through normal fighting, Best in the World through veteran survival, Senior Staff through officer growth, Lead from the Front through skill usage, Complete Breakdown through attacks on headquarters, Supply Raiders through logistics captures and Historian while your armies move through new parts of the historical battlefield.
That overlap is where most of the achievement grind should happen.
Battleplan 100% Completion Check
After finishing the base campaign, compare what remains against the full 53-achievement list above rather than assuming every unfinished achievement needs another complete playthrough.
If your remaining achievements are mostly casualty, Elite-unit, Officer-skill or Active-skill counters, prioritize battles that let those systems progress together. If you are missing Supply Raiders, Complete Breakdown or Historian, pay more attention to what you are moving through rather than simply racing toward the primary objective.
Then clear the one-off requirements separately: customize something for Alternate History, give a manual order for Micro Manager, complete the difficulty wins, handle the officer-loss and family-letter achievements, and let the Roll of Honour play all the way through for Remembrance Day.
With the one-off achievements handled and the long counters running throughout the campaign, Battleplan's 53-achievement list becomes much more manageable than completing the story first and starting the achievement hunt afterward.
