Happy Wheels Achievements Guide

Happy Wheels has 80 Steam achievements, ranging from things you'll unlock almost accidentally to absurd long-term requirements like losing 5,000 limbs, playing 1,000 levels, and causing 5,000 deaths. The best way to approach the list is not to farm those giant counters immediately. Clear the Featured Levels with the required characters, knock out the one-off stunts and community achievements, and let all the deaths, dismemberment, distance, and general carnage accumulate in the background. Only start deliberately grinding a counter once everything else that could advance it is already finished.

The Best Way to Unlock All 80 Happy Wheels Achievements

The achievement list is much less intimidating once you stop looking at it as 80 separate objectives. There are several overlapping grinds running in the background, including total levels played, distance traveled, deaths, lost limbs, impalements, decapitations, and other wonderfully normal Happy Wheels statistics. Every time you're chasing another achievement, you're potentially adding progress to several of those at once.

My route would therefore start with the achievements that force you to do something specific. Beat Featured Levels with the required characters, complete the unusual victory conditions, do the vehicle tricks, interact with the community systems, and tackle the two named speed challenges. By the time those are finished, check your lifetime counters and only grind whatever is actually left.

Recommended Order
Play Featured Levels with every required character.
Do the vehicle flips and character-specific tricks.
Clear the unusual victory conditions.
Rate, favorite, create, publish, and replay levels.
Attempt the named speedrun and challenge achievements.
Finish Purpose Fulfilled by clearing the remaining winnable Featured Levels.
Check your lifetime stats and grind only the counters you still need.

The final step matters. If you're eventually going to play 1,000 levels and travel 1,000 kilometers anyway, there is no advantage to farming 1,000 deaths or thousands of limbs before you've completed the rest of the game.

One of the biggest clusters in Happy Wheels asks you to beat three Featured Levels with a particular character. These are worth prioritizing because those clears also move you through the Featured Level catalog that you'll eventually need for Purpose Fulfilled.

Featured Character Achievements
Quality Time — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Irresponsible Dad.
The Future is Now — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Segway Guy.
Fully Mobile — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Wheelchair Guy.
I Had a Job To Do — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Lawnmower Man.
Ride or Die — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Moped Couple.
Adventure of a Lifetime — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Explorer Guy.
I Cannot Make Friends — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Pogostick Man.
Masterful Shopper — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Effective Shopper.
Mother of the Year — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Irresponsible Mom.
Naughty List Expanding — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Santa Claus.
Success in the Face of Turbulence — Beat 3 Featured Levels with Helicopter Guy.
Purpose Fulfilled — Beat all winnable Featured Levels.

I wouldn't save Purpose Fulfilled as a completely separate activity. Work through the character requirements first, then look at which winnable Featured Levels remain. You're effectively turning one large completion achievement into cleanup instead of starting it from zero later.

These runs are also exactly where you want the passive statistics accumulating. Deaths, lost limbs, distance, smashed vehicles, impalements, and levels played are all things you'll need in huge quantities eventually, so failure while working through Featured Levels isn't necessarily wasted time.

Knock Out the Stunt Achievements Before Farming Anything

The stunt group is much more specific, and these are the achievements I'd deliberately attempt once you're comfortable with the characters. Several only require a single successful action, so they're far more efficient to clean up individually than the lifetime-stat achievements.

Vehicle and Movement Stunts
Arrogant — Do a frontflip while on a vehicle.
Unnecessary — Do a backflip while on a vehicle.
Redundant — Do a double backflip while on a vehicle.
Ostentatious — Do a double frontflip while on a vehicle.
Speed is Key — Reach maximum speed.
Lonely at the Top — Pogo 10 meters high.
Jetsetter — Hover for 10 seconds with Rocket Chair.
Power Move — Eject, frontflip, and reconnect to the Motorized Shopping Cart.
Autopilot — Carry yourself with your own magnet.

There is a natural escalation here. Get comfortable completing ordinary frontflips and backflips before deliberately chasing the double variants, rather than treating all four as separate techniques.

Power Move is the standout because the requirement isn't merely performing a flip. You need to eject from the Motorized Shopping Cart, complete a frontflip, and reconnect with it. I'd treat that as its own precision challenge instead of something likely to happen naturally.

Some Victories Have Very Specific Conditions

A second group cares less about the level you're playing and more about the condition your character is in when you reach victory. These are especially useful to complete before the giant damage-related grinds because they actively encourage you to survive injuries that would normally end a run.

Special Victory Conditions
Lethargic — Achieve victory without moving.
He'd Have Wanted This — Achieve victory as a Mourning Father.
I Do Things My Way — Achieve victory without limbs.
Ready To Mingle — Achieve victory as a Widower.
Upper Body Strength — Achieve victory on Segway without feet.
My Kids Don't Call — Achieve victory as a Mourning Mother.
Forget My Past — Achieve victory after spike impalement.
Self-Made — Achieve victory after losing your employees.
Savior — Carry a living child to victory.
Alternative Medicine — Achieve victory with 20 arrows in your body.
At What Cost? — Achieve victory before bleeding out.

The common thread is that the injury itself isn't enough. The achievement specifically requires reaching victory afterward, so don't reset the moment something catastrophic happens. In Happy Wheels, a character who looks completely finished may actually be exactly what you need for the achievement.

Alternative Medicine is the clearest example. Twenty arrows means nothing if you die before completing the level. The challenge is preserving enough control to reach the finish after satisfying the damage condition.

Don't Forget the Easy Community and Editor Achievements

Several achievements have almost nothing to do with surviving a level. They exist around ratings, favorites, replays, level creation, and competitive times. I'd clear the simple ones relatively early so they don't become an annoying handful of forgotten achievements after you've finished the harder gameplay objectives.

Community and Editor Achievements
Judgement — Rate a level.
Curator — Rate 10 levels.
Collector — Favorite 5 levels.
Shared Experience — Save a replay.
Mistake Of a Lifetime Award — Publish your first level.
Teacher — Save a replay beating a level you created.
SpeedRunner — Submit a record time on a level with at least 10 competitors.
Hostile Takeover — Submit a record time on 5 levels with at least 10 competitors.
Elitist — Submit a record time on 25 levels with at least 10 competitors.

Judgement and Curator naturally stack, so don't stop after the first rating if you're eventually going for 100%. The same broader logic applies to the record-time achievements: your first qualifying record contributes toward the five needed for Hostile Takeover, and those in turn contribute toward the 25 required for Elitist.

The record achievements are also one of the areas I would not leave until the very end if you see a good opportunity. They require levels with at least 10 competitors, so the pool of useful levels depends partly on community activity rather than purely on your own save.

The Weird One-Off Achievements Need Deliberate Cleanup

This is the most Happy Wheels section of the guide. These achievements ask for oddly specific interactions that aren't worth trying to combine into a clean progression route. Once you know what each one wants, tackle them one at a time.

Special Interaction Achievements
Excalibur — Throw a sword into someone's head.
Tenacious — Lose both arms while hanging on.
Gluten Intolerance — Smash the biscuits.
User Error — Mow your own head.
Stick Around, Kid — Harpoon your son's head to a wall.
Not Like This — Die by toilet.
Stay Close, Son — Harpoon father and son together.
You Forgot This! — Throw someone's head.
It Blew My Butt Apart — Fulfill the condition titled “It Blew My Butt Apart.”
Downsizing — Have 100 elves die.
Smoothie Deluxe — Mow 100 fruits.
Wrong Tool for the Job — Mow 100 torsos.
Voracious — Mow 100 brains.
Autopilot — Carry yourself with your own magnet.

For It Blew My Butt Apart, the Steam achievement itself currently gives the description only as “It Blew My Butt Apart,” so I would not invent a specific trigger until the exact condition has been independently confirmed.

The mowing achievements are another place where progress can overlap. If you're deliberately using Lawnmower Man for his Featured Level achievement, there's no reason not to pay attention to anything that can advance the fruit, torso, or brain counters along the way.

Two Named Levels Have Dedicated Speed Achievements

There are also a few achievements tied to a specific challenge rather than a global statistic.

Named Challenge Achievements
Opportunities, Not Obstacles — Beat Obstacle Course? in less than 20 seconds.
Express Delivery — Beat Happy Green Hills in less than 10 seconds.
Park Safety Award — Defeat Gravelord Tito.

The two timed achievements should be treated differently from the leaderboard records. Opportunities, Not Obstacles and Express Delivery have fixed achievement thresholds, so your goal is simply getting below the listed time. SpeedRunner and its follow-ups instead care about submitting an actual record on a sufficiently contested level.

Park Safety Award only identifies Gravelord Tito as the target in the Steam achievement description. Until the encounter itself is documented more thoroughly, that's as specific as I'd make the requirement rather than padding the guide with guessed mechanics.

Save the Huge Lifetime Counters for Last

This is where the achievement list becomes a marathon. Most of these have smaller milestones that lead into increasingly ridiculous totals, which is exactly why you should let normal play do as much of the work as possible first.

Levels Played
Just Dabbling — Play 10 levels.
Immersed — Play 100 levels.
Omniscient — Play 1,000 levels.

Deaths
Promising Start — Die 10 times.
Undeterred — Die 100 times.
Dauntless — Die 1,000 times.

Limbs Lost
Minor Setback — Lose 50 limbs.
Just Several Flesh Wounds — Lose 500 limbs.
Unrestrained — Lose 5,000 limbs.

Distance Traveled
Baby Steps — Travel 10 kilometers.
Adventurer — Travel 100 kilometers.
Oh My Legs — Travel 1,000 kilometers.

Damage and Destruction Counters
Sausage Party — Expose 1,000 lengths of intestine.
Disperse Love — Expose 1,000 hearts.
Enlightened — Get decapitated 500 times.
Free Your Minds — Crush 1,000 heads.
Get Back Out There — Get impaled 500 times.
Damn It — End your bloodline 500 times.
It Wasn't My Fault — Smash your vehicle 500 times.
Nothing Personal — Cause 5,000 deaths.
Spineless — Expose 1,000 vertebrae.

Other Accumulating Achievements
Perseverance — Restart a level 20 times.
All I Care About is Gold — Collect 100 tokens.

If you're aiming for all 80 achievements, Omniscient, Oh My Legs, Unrestrained, Nothing Personal, and the other four-digit counters are the reason I would avoid grinding anything early. Happy Wheels tracks a large number of lifetime statistics behind the scenes, so hours spent completing Featured Levels, attempting speedruns, failing stunts, and messing with user-created levels can push several endgame achievements forward without any dedicated farming.

Once everything else is finished, look at what's actually lagging behind and target that statistic specifically. That's much more efficient than spending an hour intentionally dying at the beginning only to eventually discover that the 1,000-level requirement would have given you more than enough deaths naturally.
