Over the Hill Livery Not Unlocking Fix
Special Liveries in Over the Hill are tied to distance driven with each individual vehicle, but the odometer display can make it look like you have traveled much farther than you actually have. If a 50 km, 100 km, or 150 km livery still appears locked, the first thing to check is how the vehicle's distance is being read rather than assuming the unlock is bugged.

Why Your Over the Hill Livery Is Not Unlocking
If a Special Livery is not unlocking, the most likely explanation is that the vehicle has not actually reached the required distance yet.
The odometer includes a final digit representing tenths of a kilometer, which makes the total easy to overestimate at a glance. For example, an odometer reading of 0199 means the vehicle has traveled 19.9 km, not 199 km.
That distinction matters because the first distance-based Special Livery does not unlock until the vehicle reaches 50 km.
Special A: 50 km
Special B: 100 km
Special C: 150 km
How to Read the Odometer Correctly
The last digit on the Over the Hill odometer is not another full kilometer. It represents one-tenth of a kilometer.
That means a display such as 0093 represents 9.3 km driven, while 0199 represents 19.9 km. If you are waiting for Special A at 50 km, the odometer needs to reflect an actual 50.0 km traveled with that vehicle.
This is the main reason a Special Livery can appear broken when the unlock system is actually still waiting for more distance.
Special Livery Distance Requirements
The distance-based Special Liveries use three milestones for each vehicle.
Special A requires 50 km, Special B requires 100 km, and Special C requires 150 km.
The regular liveries available without a distance requirement are separate from these milestones. A vehicle can therefore have several paint options available immediately while its Special variants remain locked until enough distance has been driven.
If you are specifically grinding for a Special Livery, check the current vehicle's odometer before starting another long drive so you know exactly how much distance remains.
Livery Distance Is Tracked Per Vehicle
The distance requirement is attached to the individual vehicle, not your total driving distance across every car in the garage.
If you have driven 100 km overall but only 22 km of that was in The Trailrat, The Trailrat is still only progressing from its own 22 km total toward Special A.
This makes switching vehicles frequently slower if your goal is to unlock one specific set of liveries. Pick the vehicle whose paint you want and keep using it until it crosses the next milestone rather than spreading distance between several cars.
If you are still expanding your garage, our Over the Hill How to Unlock New Cars guide covers where the rest of the vehicles come from.
What to Do if the Livery Is Still Locked
If the correct vehicle has genuinely passed 50 km, 100 km, or 150 km and the matching Special Livery still has not appeared, then the odometer is no longer the explanation.
First confirm the exact distance on that vehicle rather than the garage-wide total. If the milestone has definitely been reached and the paint remains locked, check that Over the Hill is fully updated before treating it as an unlock problem.
There have also been patch-related fixes for progression and achievement problems affecting some saves originating from the Next Fest demo. That does not mean every missing livery is caused by the same issue, but if your save began in the demo and multiple unlocks are behaving incorrectly, the save origin is worth including in a bug report.
For most players, however, the fix is much simpler: read the final odometer digit as a decimal, make sure you are checking the distance for the correct vehicle, and continue driving until that specific car reaches the 50 km, 100 km, or 150 km threshold.
