RuneScape Dragonwilds Scorch Leather: How to Make It
Scorch Leather is a late-game processed material in RuneScape Dragonwilds used throughout Adamant, Obsidian, Kalphite, Red Dragonhide, and other high-level crafting recipes. Some players also refer to it as "scored leather," but Scorch Leather is the actual in-game item name. You don't normally hunt for the leather itself; instead, you'll make it from three other materials once your tanning setup is ready.

Make Scorch Leather at the Advanced Tannery
Scorch Leather is crafted at the Advanced Tannery using 1 Draconic Leather, 2 Kalphite Shells, and 1 Acrid Adhesive.
The recipe is listed at Artisan 40 and produces exactly one piece of Scorch Leather per craft.

There isn't a separate Scorch Leather creature that you need to farm. The material is created by combining existing desert and draconic resources into a stronger form of leather.
That distinction matters because searching enemy drop tables for Scorch Leather itself is the wrong approach. Build your supply around its three ingredients instead.
Kalphite Shells Are the Material You Need Twice as Fast
Every piece of Scorch Leather consumes one Draconic Leather and one Acrid Adhesive, but it takes two Kalphite Shells.
That makes Kalphite Shells the ingredient you need to accumulate at double the rate of the other two whenever you're preparing for a large crafting session.

I would farm with the final number of Scorch Leather in mind rather than collecting random stacks of each ingredient. Once you know you need 10 leather, for example, you immediately know the target is 10 Draconic Leather, 20 Shells, and 10 Adhesive.
That becomes increasingly useful because several of the strongest armor sets consume Scorch Leather in double-digit quantities.
A Full Obsidian Set Alone Needs 30 Scorch Leather
Scorch Leather looks like a small secondary component on individual recipes until you add an entire equipment set together.
A full Obsidian armor set is one of the heaviest consumers, requiring 30 Scorch Leather total between the Helmet, Chest, and Legs.

An Adamant armor set is somewhat cheaper at 18 Scorch Leather, but Adamant weapons and tools also use the material, so your actual demand can climb well past that if you're upgrading multiple equipment slots at once.
Scorch Leather Is Used Across Several Endgame Equipment Paths
Scorch Leather isn't tied to one armor style. It appears across melee, ranged, magic, tools, and several unique weapons.
That makes it worth treating as a general high-tier crafting resource instead of farming exactly enough for one recipe.

The Pharaoh's Sceptre is another expensive single craft at 10 Scorch Leather, alongside Gold Bars, Shimmerscale Powder, Dragonstone, and Gypsum Wax.
The Abyssal Whip requires 6 Scorch Leather in addition to the Abysmal Whip, Demonic Oil, Cursed Essence, and Dragonstone.
Spend Your First Scorch Leather on the Upgrade You're Actually Building Toward
Because so many equipment branches compete for Scorch Leather, I wouldn't automatically turn the first batch into whichever recipe becomes available first.
If you're moving into Adamant equipment, decide whether the immediate priority is armor, a stronger primary weapon, or an upgraded gathering tool before spending the leather.

Craft Scorch Leather in Batches Once You Reach High-Tier Gear
Once Scorch Leather starts appearing in your recipes, demand for it rarely stops at one or two pieces.
I would switch from crafting individual pieces on demand to producing it in batches of 10 or more. The 1:2:1 ingredient ratio also makes bulk preparation simple: match your Draconic Leather and Acrid Adhesive stacks, then collect twice as many Kalphite Shells.
