WARDOGS Queue Not Moving: What to Do
The WARDOGS login queue can look completely broken when your position stops changing, barely moves, or suddenly sends you farther back instead of closer to the game. With authentication problems happening alongside the queue itself, though, the number on screen does not always tell the whole story. What you should do depends on whether your position is simply paused, actually increasing, or eventually reaches the front and fails.

Do Not Restart WARDOGS Just Because the Queue Stops Moving
If your WARDOGS queue number is not moving, I would leave it alone initially rather than immediately restarting the game. WARDOGS has experienced major login demand alongside authentication and other online-service problems, and players can spend a long time waiting before successfully getting through.
Most importantly, a queue position sitting at the same number for a while is not the same thing as receiving an actual login error. If WARDOGS is still showing your position and has not kicked you out, restarting can give up the place you already have without addressing whatever is limiting logins on the other end.
There is no confirmed amount of time where I would say a WARDOGS queue is definitely frozen. I would be skeptical of any advice telling you that sitting on one number for a specific number of minutes proves your client is broken, especially while the game's login services are under heavy load.
If the number eventually starts falling again, I would continue waiting.
A WARDOGS Queue Going Backwards Is a Different Problem
If your queue position is actually getting higher, that is different from the number simply sitting still.
WARDOGS has had a documented problem where some players were being placed back at the end of the queue. Community reports have included players watching their positions increase, while others reached much better positions only to encounter a login or authentication failure and return with a dramatically larger number.
One player, for example, reported going from a 20,000-player queue to 50,000 after a permissions problem and then 150,000 after failing to connect online. Another reported getting through a queue of roughly 100,000, failing authentication, and subsequently seeing positions of 180,000, 360,000, 320,000, and 176,000 across additional attempts.
So if your WARDOGS queue suddenly jumps from 30,000 to 150,000, I would not immediately assume you accidentally pressed something or that your internet connection moved you backward. Players have been reporting this behavior during the wider login problems.
More importantly, restarting over and over is not a reliable way to force yourself back to the position you previously had.
Getting to the Front of the Queue Does Not Guarantee You Get In
This is probably the most frustrating part of the WARDOGS queue problems. Reaching the front only solves the waiting portion of the login process. The game still has to successfully authenticate you afterward.
Players have reported reaching the front and then receiving an error, after which they are returned to the back of the queue. That can make the queue itself appear even slower because not everyone reaching the front is successfully transitioning into the game.
I think it is useful to separate those two stages completely.
If you are number 80,000 and the queue is slowly progressing, you have a queue problem. If you reach the front and WARDOGS says it failed to authenticate you with its online services, the queue did its job; the authentication step failed afterward.
That distinction also means you should troubleshoot the message that actually appears instead of continuing to search for a generic queue fix.
Restart WARDOGS After an Error, Not Just a Slow Queue
I would be much more willing to restart WARDOGS after an actual authentication or client failure than I would be while sitting in an apparently functioning queue.
There is at least one player report of restarting the client after repeated authentication trouble and successfully getting into the game afterward. I would treat that as a possible workaround rather than a guaranteed fix, because other players have restarted or retried only to land much farther back in the queue.
My rule would be simple: if the queue is still working, protect your position. If WARDOGS has already thrown an error and your login attempt is effectively over anyway, restarting the client becomes much easier to justify.
I would not repeatedly restart just to see whether you receive a better starting position. With players reporting queue sizes reaching well into the hundreds of thousands, that gamble can go very badly.
Don't Start Resetting Your Network for a Slow WARDOGS Queue
A queue that is slow or temporarily stationary is not good evidence that your home network is broken.
Your game has already reached the WARDOGS login service well enough to receive a queue position. At the same time, the game's launch problems have included widespread queue and authentication trouble affecting other players.
Because of that, I would not start flushing DNS, resetting Windows networking, restarting your router, verifying the entire game, or reinstalling WARDOGS solely because number 72,000 has not changed recently.
Those troubleshooting steps make more sense when you have evidence of an individual connection problem. They do not make more server capacity available, and they cannot make WARDOGS authenticate other players faster.
The better approach is to wait for an actual failure before deciding what needs troubleshooting.
If You Get Through the Queue but Can't Join a Server, the Queue Is No Longer the Problem
There is another important transition after authentication. You can successfully get through the WARDOGS queue, enter the game, and then have individual game servers fail when you try to join them.
Players have reported exactly that as well, including being able to play before later finding that servers timed out. If you see “Failed to Connect to Server in Reasonable Time,” do not keep troubleshooting the login queue because you have already made it past that stage.

This gives you three separate stages to watch: waiting in the queue, authenticating after reaching the front, and connecting to an actual game server. A failure in one does not necessarily mean the others are broken.

The best way I have found to make sense of the WARDOGS queue is to react to its state instead of treating every long wait as the same problem.
If your number is decreasing, leave it alone. If your number sits still but WARDOGS has not actually disconnected you, I would give it time rather than sacrificing the position immediately. If your number suddenly gets much larger, you may have been affected by the issue sending players backward in the queue. If you reach the front and receive an authentication error, stop troubleshooting the queue itself and focus on the authentication failure.
Finally, if you successfully reach the game but cannot join a battlefield, you have moved past both the queue and authentication stages and into a separate server connection problem.
That distinction matters because there is no single “WARDOGS servers are broken” fix that applies to every one of these situations. Waiting can be the right answer for one stage, restarting can make sense after another, and switching servers can make sense after the next.
