R.E.P.O. Max Number of Players

If you're thinking about diving into R.E.P.O., the horror extraction game that really wants you to regret your life choices, here’s the deal on how many people can play—and how to actually get a team together.

Maximum Players in R.E.P.O.

You can play with up to 6 players total. That’s you plus five brave (or foolish) friends. You don’t need a full team, though. You can go in solo, or with any number of players up to six. Just know that playing alone makes things a lot harder, so unless you're feeling heroic (or reckless), it’s best to bring backup.

Note: You can increase the max lobby size with a mod.

Does R.E.P.O. Have Matchmaking?

Nope. There’s no random matchmaking in R.E.P.O. right now. If you want to play multiplayer, you’ll need to invite people directly from your Steam friends list. If you don’t have a squad ready, you’re stuck with solo mode for now. Matchmaking might show up in a future update—but as of now, it’s not in the game.

Quick Recap:

  • Max players: 6

  • Solo play: Yes

  • Matchmaking: Not available for now—Steam friend invites only

  • Co-op mode: Host or join via Steam

So grab your friends, send those invites, and get ready to scream together—or alone.
