AION 2 Cleric Build Guide: PvE, PvP, & Leveling (Global)

Cleric is AION 2's dedicated healer, but building one entirely around healing leaves a lot of the class unused. Cleric has a full damage and debuff rotation, reliable self-sustain, party protection, cleansing, and resurrection, so the best setup changes heavily between solo leveling, group PvE, and PvP.

Best Cleric Build in AION 2

The best Cleric build depends more on the content than almost any other class. Leveling should lean heavily into damage while keeping enough healing to stay moving. Group PvE should prioritize reliable healing, cleansing, shields, and emergency protection without completely abandoning damage. PvP shifts even further toward survival because Cleric is often one of the first targets the enemy team wants to remove.

Leveling Stigmas: Noble Aura, Prayer of Amplification, Earth's Punishment, Voice of Doom
PvE support core: Absolution, Salvation, Yustiel's Power, Summon Resurrection
PvP core: Absolution, Salvation, Yustiel's Power, Voice of Doom
Weapon: Mace and Guard

The important part is not falling into the trap of separating Cleric into "healing mode" and "damage mode" every second of a fight. Debilitating Mark, Chain of Torment, Condemnation, Divine Aura, and Earth's Retribution give you useful damage and resource management during the periods where the party is stable.

When healing becomes necessary, damage immediately becomes secondary. Cleric's value comes from recognizing that change before someone dies rather than trying to finish one more cast.

If you are still deciding whether to play a healer or another solo-friendly class, our AION 2 Best Solo Class for PvE and PvP guide compares Cleric with the rest of the current Global classes.

Best AION 2 Cleric Leveling Build

Cleric leveling should be much more offensive than the build you use as the main healer in a dungeon. You already have enough recovery to survive normal questing, so putting every early resource into healing only makes enemies take longer to kill.

Judgment Thunder, Earth's Retribution, Condemnation, Divine Aura, and Chain of Torment are strong early damage investments. Healing Light is the healing skill I would make sure stays developed alongside them, particularly before moving into group content.

Debilitating Mark and Chain of Torment should be applied to stronger enemies before you move into the rest of the damage sequence. Chain of Torment is especially important because Condemnation depends on it.

Leveling Skill Priority
Judgment Thunder
Earth's Retribution
Condemnation
Divine Aura
Chain of Torment
Debilitating Mark
Healing Light

Earth's Retribution is particularly useful while leveling because it contributes damage while supporting your MP. Divine Aura gives you damage that continues without requiring constant attention, leaving you free to reposition, heal, or move into the next part of the rotation.

For Stigmas, the leveling setup should favor the damage route. Noble Aura and Prayer of Amplification are the first two I would build around, followed by Earth's Punishment. Voice of Doom can fill the final offensive or utility slot until you transition into a more dedicated group-healing setup.

Leveling Stigma Priority
Noble Aura
Prayer of Amplification
Earth's Punishment
Voice of Doom

You do not need to heal yourself back to full health after every small hit. Light of Regeneration and Healing Light give you more than enough recovery for normal leveling, and spending too much time or MP healing damage that was never dangerous only slows the campaign down.

Best AION 2 Cleric PvE Build

For dungeons and other group PvE, Cleric's first responsibility is keeping the party alive. Absolution, Salvation, Yustiel's Power, and Summon Resurrection give you a strong support core covering healing, cleansing, party protection, and recovery after deaths.

Salvation should be saved for mechanics that genuinely threaten the group. At higher development it provides a brief party-wide invulnerability window, which makes wasting it on ordinary chip damage one of the easiest ways to leave yourself without an answer when the real mechanic arrives.

Yustiel's Power provides another major party defensive through its shield. Absolution covers healing and cleansing, while Summon Resurrection gives Cleric recovery potential when a fight has already gone wrong.

Best PvE Support Stigmas
Absolution
Salvation
Yustiel's Power
Summon Resurrection

Light of Protection is the first major alternate. If your party does not already have the support it provides through another class such as Chanter, it becomes much more attractive. Benevolence is another strong option for encounters where steady party healing is more useful than an additional emergency button.

Radiant Recovery, Healing Light, and Light of Regeneration form the healing core outside your Stigmas. Light of Regeneration is better used proactively, while Radiant Recovery should be available when several players suddenly lose health or need its cleanse.

Between healing windows, keep Debilitating Mark and Chain of Torment active and continue contributing damage. A Cleric standing idle at full party HP is leaving damage and resource generation on the table.

Best AION 2 Cleric PvP Build

Cleric PvP should prioritize staying alive long enough to keep everyone else alive. I recommend Absolution, Salvation, Yustiel's Power, and Voice of Doom as a balanced starting setup, with Summon Resurrection becoming increasingly valuable in organized group PvP.

Salvation and Yustiel's Power give you two different answers to enemy burst. The goal is to use them before the opposing team's damage has already landed, especially when you can recognize an engage or coordinated burst coming.

Absolution provides another healing and cleanse option, while Voice of Doom adds offensive disruption when the enemy is giving you enough room to use it.

Best PvP Stigmas
Absolution
Salvation
Yustiel's Power
Voice of Doom

For larger group fights, replace an offensive option with Summon Resurrection when the ability to recover fallen teammates provides more value than additional pressure.

Defiance should remain easy to reach. Cleric frequently becomes a priority target, so being caught in crowd control at the wrong time can effectively disable the healing of your entire team.

Your positioning matters just as much as your healing output. Stay close enough for your AoE recovery and protection to reach the group, but avoid standing where the enemy frontline can engage both you and the players you are trying to heal with the same attack.

Best Cleric Skills and Upgrade Priority

Cleric has several skills worth developing aggressively because they remain useful regardless of whether you are playing solo or supporting a group.

Radiant Recovery is one of the highest-value healing investments because it gives you powerful group recovery and cleansing. Condemnation is one of your primary damage skills, while Bolt and Earth's Retribution keep Cleric contributing meaningful damage during safe periods.

Healing Light and Light of Regeneration should follow closely behind. Healing Light gives you dependable direct recovery, while Light of Regeneration establishes healing over time before incoming damage becomes an emergency.

Leveling: Judgment Thunder → Earth's Retribution → Condemnation → Divine Aura → Chain of Torment → Healing Light
PvE: Radiant Recovery → Healing Light → Light of Regeneration → Condemnation → Earth's Retribution
PvP: Radiant Recovery → Healing Light → Defiance → Debilitating Mark → Chain of Torment

For passives, Immortal Veil is one of the safest high-priority investments because it improves Cleric's defensive foundation. Empyrean Lord's Grace and Earth's Grace improve the offensive side of the class, while Healing Enhancement becomes more important for a dedicated support build because its healing benefit scales with Attack.

That last interaction is why Cleric does not need to treat Attack as a wasted stat just because you are healing.

Best Stats for Cleric in AION 2

Cleric's stats should change more between builds than those of a pure DPS class.

While leveling, Attack gives you more useful damage while still supporting parts of the healing setup. Critical Hit and Combat Speed improve clear speed, while HP is worth adding if stronger enemies are actually threatening you.

Group PvE needs a more balanced setup. Attack remains useful, but HP, Constitution, cooldown-related bonuses, Combat Speed, and Damage Tolerance all improve your ability to react to mechanics and continue healing under pressure.

PvP pushes survivability even higher. Max HP, PvP Damage Tolerance, status resistance, Combat Speed, and Accuracy for the offensive skills you still use become more important than chasing maximum damage.

Leveling: Attack → Critical Hit → Combat Speed → HP as needed
PvE: Attack / healing effectiveness → HP and Constitution → Cooldown → Combat Speed → Damage Tolerance → Accuracy as needed
PvP: HP → PvP Damage Tolerance → Status Effect Resist → Combat Speed / Cooldown → Accuracy → offensive stats

Do not equip an item purely because it increases your Combat Power if its stats are worse for the role you are actually performing. Our AION 2 How to Increase Combat Power guide explains the difference between increasing the number and improving the character.

AION 2 Cleric PvE Healing and Damage Rotation

Cleric does not have one fixed PvE rotation because the party's health determines what you should be doing. Think of the fight as a priority system instead.

Before the pull, establish Light of Regeneration when it will actually cover the group. Once combat begins, apply Debilitating Mark and Chain of Torment, then use Condemnation while its required setup is active.

Divine Aura provides additional damage without demanding constant attention, while Earth's Retribution can fill downtime and help with resources.

Light of Regeneration before expected damage
Debilitating Mark
Chain of Torment
Condemnation
Divine Aura
Earth's Retribution and other damage while the group is safe
Healing Light when direct recovery is needed
Radiant Recovery for heavy group damage or cleansing

When a major party-wide mechanic is coming, stop thinking about your damage rotation. Prepare Salvation, Yustiel's Power, or the appropriate defensive response before the hit instead of trying to recover everyone after the damage has already landed.

That is the biggest difference between average and strong Cleric play. Reactive healing can save mistakes, but predicting the dangerous part of the encounter prevents the emergency in the first place.

AION 2 Cleric PvP Priorities

PvP Cleric should not follow a long damage combo. Your priorities change too quickly depending on who is being attacked and which defensive cooldowns are still available.

Keep yourself positioned behind the players who are supposed to absorb the initial engage. Maintain healing and protection without giving the enemy team a straight path onto you.

When pressure begins, use your normal healing first rather than instantly spending every emergency cooldown. Absolution and Radiant Recovery can stabilize recoverable damage, while Salvation and Yustiel's Power should be preserved for the moments where ordinary healing will not be enough.

Keep yourself within useful healing range
Maintain Debilitating Mark and Chain of Torment when safe
Use normal healing for manageable pressure
Cleanse dangerous effects quickly
Use Yustiel's Power before heavy incoming burst
Save Salvation for the most dangerous damage window
Use Defiance when crowd control would prevent you from healing

If the enemy team is not pressuring you or your allies, use the opening to apply debuffs and contribute damage. Cleric is still capable of adding meaningful pressure, especially when doing so does not cost the team a needed heal.

Best Cleric Gear, Arcana and Daevanion

Cleric uses a Mace and Guard, with gear priorities changing depending on whether you are primarily leveling, healing PvE, or surviving PvP.

For leveling, Attack, Critical Hit, Combat Speed, and useful offensive skill levels help speed up the campaign. In group PvE, start valuing HP, Constitution, Damage Tolerance, cooldown-related bonuses, and effects that improve the healing skills you actually use.

PvP should lean even further into HP, Damage Tolerance, defensive bonuses, and enough offensive stats to keep your debuffs and pressure relevant.

For Arcana, choose cards around useful skill breakpoints rather than rarity alone. Radiant Recovery, Condemnation, Healing Light, Light of Regeneration, Earth's Retribution, and important passives are all more useful targets than unrelated skill levels.

Daevanion should initially improve the skills that define your current role. For leveling, that means Judgment Thunder, Earth's Retribution, Condemnation, Divine Aura, and Chain of Torment. Before serious dungeon healing, make sure Healing Light has received enough investment to perform the role reliably.

Once the important active-skill breakpoints are covered, work into passives and the stat nodes that support the build rather than spreading points evenly across every branch.

Leveling: Build enough damage to keep the campaign moving while maintaining one dependable healing core.

PvE: Keep the party alive first, maintain buffs and debuffs second, then fill every safe opening with damage.

PvP: Build enough survivability that the enemy cannot remove your entire team's healing simply by focusing you first.
