AION 2 How to Trade
If you are looking for a Trade button in AION 2 Global, you are not overlooking a menu or interaction. The Global version handles player transactions differently from a traditional MMO, which also changes what you can give directly to friends.

How to Trade with Other Players in AION 2
You cannot directly trade with another player in AION 2 Global. Direct player-to-player trading is disabled, so there is no normal trade window where two characters can exchange items or Kina.
The current alternative is the Market. Tradable items can be listed there for other players to purchase, making the Market the central player trading system on Global servers.
Direct Player Trading: Disabled
Trade Window: Not available
Trade Items With Friends Directly: No
Trade Kina Directly: No
Player Trading Alternative: Market
Market Access: Requires Membership
This restriction is specific to how the Global version currently operates and was introduced as part of measures aimed at reducing botting and illegitimate trading.
Can You Trade With Friends in AION 2?
No. You cannot walk up to a friend, open a trade window, and hand them equipment, materials, or Kina.
Being in the same party, Legion, or other group does not create a separate direct trading option either. If an item is eligible to be sold, it instead has to go through the Market like other player transactions.
That distinction matters if you are playing alongside someone and planned to pass useful drops back and forth. AION 2 Global does not currently support the traditional MMO setup where one player simply drags an item into another player's trade window.
If you are grouping up rather than trading, our AION 2 how to play with friends guide covers the actual party and multiplayer side of playing together.
How Trading Through the Market Works
The Market acts as the replacement for direct item trading between players.
If you have an eligible tradable item, you can list it on the Market at a price for other players to purchase. Once another player buys the listing, the transaction is completed through the Market instead of directly between your two characters.
1. Obtain an item that can be traded.
2. List the item through the Market.
3. Set your sale price.
4. Another player can purchase the listing.
5. You receive the resulting Kina after applicable Market fees.
The major difference is control. With a direct trade, you would choose exactly who receives the item. A Market listing is part of a centralized economy instead, so it should not be treated as a private trade window for a specific friend.
Do You Need Membership to Trade?
Yes, Market buying and selling requires an active AION 2 Membership.
That means free players cannot simply use the Market as a workaround for the missing direct trade system. You can still earn gear, materials, and Kina through normal gameplay, but participating in player-to-player commerce through the Market requires Membership.
The Membership also provides access to the Kina and Quna Exchange, but that is separate from selling an item to another player through the Market.
Can You Trade Kina to Another Player?
You cannot directly give another player Kina in AION 2 Global.
There is no player trade window where you can enter an amount of Kina and send it to a friend. Regular Kina is instead used within systems such as the Market, where money changes hands as part of buying and selling listed items.
Kina (Bound) is even more restricted. It is tied to your character and cannot be used for Market transactions in the same way as regular Kina.
Regular Kina: Used in the player economy and Market
Kina Bound: Character-use currency and not usable for Market trading
Send Kina Directly to a Friend: Not currently possible
Will Direct Player Trading Return to AION 2?
Direct trading is described as currently disabled on AION 2 Global, but there is no announced date for when or if the feature will be restored.
For now, the safest assumption is that the Market is the intended way to exchange tradable goods between players on Global servers.
If you are trying to trade because you picked up an item another player wants, check whether the item can be listed on the Market. If you were specifically trying to hand an item or Kina directly to a friend, there is currently no direct trade option that lets you do it.
