AION 2 Orichalcum Farm Guide
Orichalcum Ore is one of the main mining materials used for Blacksmithing and Armorsmithing in AION 2, and the best way to farm it is to rotate through areas with several ore nodes instead of waiting around a single spawn. Elyos have particularly strong routes around Ellun River Midstream, while Asmodians can start with Basfelt Ruins before moving into later regions with even more mining options.

Best AION 2 Orichalcum Farm
The best Orichalcum farm is a short loop through one of the high-density mining areas for your faction. For Elyos, start with Ellun River Midstream in Verteron. For Asmodians, Basfelt Ruins in Altgard is one of the strongest early options.
Do not build your farm around one individual ore node. Orichalcum appears across a large number of locations, so you will usually gather more by moving continuously through several known mining areas and collecting every ore node you encounter.
Best early Elyos area: Ellun River Midstream

Best Elyos Orichalcum Farm
Ellun River Midstream is the first Verteron area I would check for an Elyos Orichalcum farm because it has one of the larger concentrations of available nodes.
Instead of mining one small section repeatedly, use Ellun River Midstream as the center of a larger circuit and move through nearby mining areas whenever the immediate cluster has already been gathered.

A practical route is to start wherever your current quests place you, clear the nearby ore nodes, then move toward the next dense area instead of teleporting back and forth after every few gathers.
That makes Orichalcum farming much easier to combine with Regional Quests, Field Bosses, Feathers, and other map objectives instead of turning mining into an isolated grind.
Best Asmodian Orichalcum Farm
For Asmodians, Basfelt Ruins is one of the strongest places to begin because Altgard has several good Orichalcum zones clustered across the region.
Dredgion Crash Site and Fafnite Deposit are also useful alternatives, particularly if Basfelt is crowded or you already have another reason to be elsewhere in Altgard.

These locations are useful because several of them already contain enemies, quests, gathering materials, and other objectives worth doing. If you can mine Orichalcum while simultaneously working on something else, that is usually better than traveling specifically for a handful of nodes.
Best Later-Game Orichalcum Areas
Once you have access to Eltnen or Morheim, you are no longer limited to the starting-region farms.
Elyos can find Orichalcum throughout Eltnen, with Lankusis Highland and Ruberein Highland among the better areas to check first. Asmodians get another strong set of options in Morheim, beginning with Nephra Snowfield and Iralcig Highland.
Eltnen: Lankusis Highland, Ruberein Highland, Fractured Land, Eltnen Barrier Tower Ruins, Kuriullu Valley, Western and Eastern Dartas Plains, Eiron Hill
Morheim: Nephra Snowfield, Iralcig Highland, Muspel Volcano Zone, Icecap Ridge, Halabana Canyon, Patamor Plains, Patamor Plains Outskirts, Kromede's Island
I would not automatically travel to these zones solely because they are later regions. If your current Verteron or Altgard loop has plenty of untouched nodes, staying there is faster than adding unnecessary travel time.
Pick Your Farm Based on Competition
The mathematically densest area is not always the best farm if several other players are mining the same route.
If Ellun River Midstream or Basfelt Ruins has already been stripped of nodes, move to the second or third best location rather than repeatedly circling an empty area. Orichalcum is distributed across enough maps that you have plenty of alternatives.
If your main farm is full: Move to another listed high-density area
If you are questing: Mine nodes along your existing route
If you need a large stack: Build a continuous multi-zone circuit
If you only need a few: Gather opportunistically instead of making a dedicated trip
This is the main reason I would avoid following one rigid farming path. The best Orichalcum route is the one that keeps you gathering rather than searching for already-taken nodes.
Best Essence Extraction Skills for Orichalcum Farming
Your Essence Extraction Specialty skills can make a bigger difference than switching between two similarly dense farming locations.
Ore Seeker is the most immediately useful because it displays ore on your minimap. Once you have that, your farming route becomes less about memorizing every individual node and more about traveling through areas where several can appear.
Plentiful Harvest is the main yield skill because it can give you double the Ore from an extraction. Ore Appraiser becomes more useful when you care about obtaining higher-rarity versions instead of simply maximizing Common Orichalcum.

Plentiful Harvest: Gives a chance to obtain double Ore
Ore Appraiser: Improves the chance for Ore to upgrade in rarity
Proficient Handling: Improves success gauge progress
Delicate Touch: Reduces failure-gauge progress
Lady Luck: Can sharply increase progress when failure chance becomes high
If I were building specifically for mining, I would prioritize finding nodes and increasing total yield before worrying heavily about rarity. More successful extractions per route means more Orichalcum overall and more opportunities for upgraded Ore to appear naturally.
How to Get Fine, Pure, and Radiant Orichalcum Ore
Gathering an Orichalcum node does not always mean receiving only the basic Common version. Ore can upgrade into higher rarities during extraction.
This is where Ore Appraiser becomes much more useful. If you are farming specifically for Fine, Pure, or Radiant Orichalcum, improving your rarity-upgrade chance can be more valuable than simply maximizing the number of Common pieces gathered.
Common: Orichalcum Ore
Higher grades: Fine Orichalcum Ore, Pure Orichalcum Ore, Radiant Orichalcum Ore
Which setup is best therefore depends on what you actually need. Farm for volume when crafting large amounts of basic material, but put more value into rarity upgrades when a specific high-grade recipe is blocking you.
How to Get Orichalcum Without Mining
Mining is not the only source. Orichalcum Ore can also be created from Odyle of the corresponding grade through Substance Morph.
I would treat Substance Morph as a conversion option rather than the default farming method. If you have excess Odyle and urgently need Ore, converting some can save a gathering trip. If the Odyle is more useful elsewhere, mine the Orichalcum directly instead.
That creates a simple decision: use gathering when you have time and need to preserve materials, then use Substance Morph when the saved time is worth consuming another resource.
What Is Orichalcum Used For?
Orichalcum Ore is primarily used by Blacksmithing and Armorsmithing and can be processed into Orichalcum Ingots for equipment crafting.

Orichalcum itself has very little value when sold directly to an NPC, so I would not gather it just to vendor the raw Ore. Its real value comes from using it in crafting or converting it into the materials your current recipes require.
Best Way to Farm Orichalcum Fast
The fastest Orichalcum farm is not about standing beside the highest-density node. Pick one of your faction's dense mining zones, use Ore Seeker to find nodes as you move, and keep rotating rather than stopping when one section has already been gathered.
For Elyos, I would start in Ellun River Midstream and branch into nearby Verteron locations. For Asmodians, start around Basfelt Ruins and use Dredgion Crash Site, Fafnite Deposit, or the other Altgard mining areas whenever your primary route is busy.
