Polished Bronze becomes an important mid-game material in Graveyard Keeper 2 because several useful stations and upgrades start asking for it at roughly the same point in progression. Before you can make any, you need access to the Plague Doctor's laboratory progression, the Bronze Polishing technology, and the correct Woodworking setup.

Craft Polished Bronze at a Woodworking Workbench
Polished Bronze is crafted at Woodworking Workbench I or Woodworking Workbench II after unlocking Bronze Polishing.
One craft produces 2 Polished Bronze from 2 Bronze Detail, 2 Sand, and 1 Melted Fat. The recipe also requires the Tool Rack extension to be available beside the workstation.

The Writing Desk only requires 1 Polished Bronze, while the Formulation Bench also needs 1. Those are relatively cheap uses compared with structures that need two or three pieces, and both open additional progression systems.
Polished Bronze is also used in craftable gear and tools, including Bronze tools, an Amateur Rod, Copper Trinkets, and the Starter Alchemist's Kit.

Once those pieces are in place, make Polished Bronze in batches of two from Bronze Detail, Sand, and Melted Fat. From there, I would use the first batches on workstation upgrades that unlock more systems before treating it as a general-purpose crafting material.
