Graveyard Keeper 2 Distillation Cube Guide
The Distillation Cube is one of the first major upgrades to the Alchemy Lab in Graveyard Keeper 2, opening another branch of material production once you have progressed far enough with the Plague Doctor. Getting one requires both the Distillation technology and a separate set of construction materials, so it is worth preparing the build before spending your technology points.

Unlock Alchemy, Distillation to Get the Distillation Cube
To unlock the Distillation Cube in Graveyard Keeper 2, first reach Alchemy, Basic and then purchase the Alchemy, Distillation technology.
Alchemy, Basic is tied to reaching 10 reputation with the Plague Doctor. Once that part of the Alchemy branch is available, Alchemy, Distillation costs 5 red and 5 green technology points.
Buying the technology unlocks the Cube as a construction option. It does not automatically place one in your Alchemy Lab.

The Technology Cost Is Only Half the Investment
The 5 red and 5 green points only buy the Distillation technology. You still need construction materials afterward.
I would gather the building materials before unlocking the tech if you already know you want the Cube. That way you can place it immediately instead of buying the technology and then stopping to make another batch of Brick.
The Cube is relatively cheap in metal and wood, but the 12 Brick requirement is the part most likely to determine whether you can build it straight away.

These materials are separate from the technology-point cost. You need both the unlocked blueprint and the physical resources before the station can be placed.
Build the Cube From the Alchemy Lab Blueprint Desk
Once Alchemy, Distillation is unlocked, use the Blueprint Desk inside the Alchemy Lab to place the Distillation Cube.
The Cube is a constructed Alchemy Lab station rather than something crafted at an existing workbench. Open the Blueprint Desk, select the Distillation Cube, choose a valid space, and complete the build using the required materials.
The current construction information also notes that placement can depend on available space and any required Lab module, so if the blueprint is unlocked but cannot be placed, check the Alchemy Lab itself before assuming the technology failed to unlock.
Building the Cube Does Not Automatically Unlock Alcohol
The Distillation Cube gives you the station needed for distillation recipes, but individual recipes can still have their own progression requirements.
Alcohol is one example. Its recipe is tied to the separate Reanimation Liquid technology, so building a Distillation Cube alone will not necessarily make Alcohol appear as a craftable option.

After that, the Cube is ready for recipes you have separately unlocked. If a specific distillation recipe is still missing, check that recipe's technology requirement rather than rebuilding or replacing the station.
