Star Wars Galactic Racer Favors

There are 20 Favors to unlock in the Star Wars Galactic Racer Campaign, and each gives you a passive bonus that can change how a Tour develops. Some improve your vehicle or rewards immediately, while others focus on Credits, Rival races, survivability, Parts, Abilities, or specific playstyles. You can equip three Favors at the start of a Tour, so the useful question is not just how to unlock them, but what each Favor actually gives you.

Which Favors Are Best in Star Wars Galactic Racer?

There is no single three-Favor setup I would use for every Tour because some Favors improve your build while others are designed specifically to keep a struggling run alive. The most useful distinction is what problem you are trying to solve.

More build options: Bloody Bounty
More Part capacity: Gadgeteer
Earlier Abilities: Feet First
Better starting stats: Unassuming Prodigy
More survivability: Mad Genius or Second Chance
More Credits: High Roller or Team Vranki
More Parts: Silent Defiance
Aggressive Takedown build: Brutal Calm or Family Legacy

Bloody Bounty and Gadgeteer stand out because they improve the number of choices available when assembling a vehicle rather than forcing you toward one specific racing strategy. Extra Part slots and larger reward selections give you more opportunities to create the build you actually want during a Tour.

Feet First is particularly valuable when your Racer Style does not already provide the Ability you want. Getting Ability Packs immediately also gives you more opportunities to find upgrades for abilities you already have, including Surge.

If you are still developing the vehicle underneath those Favors, our Star Wars Galactic Racer best upgrades guide covers the permanent stats I would prioritize.

How to Unlock the Mystery Encounter Favors

Racer Roulette, Underhanded Upperhand, and Second Chance are different from most Favors because you have to complete multi-stage encounter chains instead of simply reaching a milestone.

For Racer Roulette, continue accepting Biddy Blas' escalating wagers. Choose "All right, you're on." during the first encounter, "Quadruple or Nothing." during the second, and "Let's go, Taxman!" during the final stage.

Underhanded Upperhand requires repeatedly hiring Malis Vazosk. The required sequence can cost at least 20,000 Credits if you take the cheaper valid options, so avoid spending everything at Hibi's Shop if you are specifically pursuing this Favor.

First Malis encounter: "I'll pay double if you don't sabotage me." — 4,000 Credits
Second: "I want you to sabotage another racer." — 4,000 Credits
Third: "I want you to sabotage the racers." — 5,000 Credits
Final: "You're Hired." — 7,000 Credits

Second Chance comes from Katja Mox. Take one of her initial handicaps and complete 3 planets, then accept another handicap and finish another 2 planets. At the final stage, choose "Fine, take them. I'll prove myself without them."

How to Unlock Head-to-Head Rival Favors

Five Favors come from defeating specific racers in Head-to-Head Rival races: Fan Club from Lyren Shok, Victorious Loser from Griff Halloran, Silent Defiance from Sen Fira, Family Legacy from Ary Quill, and High Roller from Fola Kanjen.

These races do not simply appear at a fixed Campaign point. Keep placing Sidebets against the racer you are pursuing and interact with them after races until the rivalry develops into a Head-to-Head challenge.

Lyren Shok: Fan Club
Griff Halloran: Victorious Loser
Sen Fira: Silent Defiance
Ary Quill: Family Legacy
Fola Kanjen: High Roller

How to Upgrade Favors

Favors improve by completing planets while the Favor is equipped. You do not need to repeat the original unlock condition once you already own it.

The upgrade milestones are based on planets completed with that Favor in your loadout. Complete 2 planets to reach its next rank and continue to 4 planets to unlock the final version.

This makes it worth equipping Favors you actually plan to develop rather than filling your three slots with temporary choices every Tour. A Favor such as Gadgeteer, Bloody Bounty, or Unassuming Prodigy becomes substantially better once its Rank 3 effect is active.

You can equip up to three Favors for a Tour, and those choices cannot be changed midway through the run. Decide whether that Tour is focused on build quality, Credits, survival, or unlocking another Campaign objective before locking in your three.
