WARDOGS Can You Skip the Tutorial?
WARDOGS drops you into its tutorial when you first start playing, which can be a little annoying if you already know how the game works or spent time playing during the Beta. Fortunately, you are not actually required to finish the entire tutorial before moving on to multiplayer, although the way you skip it is not immediately obvious.

Yes, You Can Skip the WARDOGS Tutorial
You can skip the WARDOGS tutorial by waiting approximately 15 seconds after loading into it, pressing Escape to open the menu, and then exiting back to the main menu. You do not need to complete the tutorial objectives before leaving.
The important part is that there is not really a traditional “Skip Tutorial” button. Leaving the tutorial match itself is effectively the skip button.
Once you have returned to the main menu, you can move on and start playing normally rather than loading back into the tutorial to finish everything you skipped.
Why You Have to Wait About 15 Seconds Before Leaving
If you press Escape immediately after spawning and cannot leave, you probably have not done anything wrong. WARDOGS has a short forced period at the beginning of the tutorial before you can actually interact with the menu normally.
Wait roughly 15 seconds after getting into the tutorial and then try Escape again. Once that initial period has passed, open the menu and exit to the main menu.
I would not restart the game just because the exit option is unavailable during those first few seconds. Waiting out that short opening period is considerably faster than closing WARDOGS, launching it again, and ending up right back where you started.
What to Do if You Can't Skip the WARDOGS Tutorial
If you cannot exit, the first thing I would check is simply how long you have actually been inside the tutorial. The initial wait is the main thing that makes skipping it seem impossible at first.
Give it at least 15 seconds, press Escape, and look for the option to return to the main menu. You do not need to deliberately fail the tutorial, complete a particular objective, or play through the entire thing just to unlock multiplayer.
There is also an important difference between being unable to leave the tutorial and getting back to the main menu but being unable to play online. If you successfully skip the tutorial and then encounter connection problems, that is no longer a tutorial issue.

Should You Skip the Tutorial in WARDOGS?
If you already understand WARDOGS from the Beta or simply want to get into multiplayer as quickly as possible, I would skip it. There is little reason to force yourself through a tutorial you do not need when the game lets you leave shortly after it begins.
For a completely new player, though, skipping is really just a choice between learning the basics in the tutorial or figuring them out during actual matches. The ability to leave does not mean you necessarily have to use it.
The bigger point is that completing the tutorial is not something you need to sit through solely because you think WARDOGS is preventing you from leaving. Wait for the opening period, press Escape, and return to the main menu.
What to Do After Skipping the Tutorial
Once you are at the main menu, you can move on to multiplayer rather than worrying about the tutorial again. If you instead get stopped before reaching online services, that is a different stage of the process entirely. So the actual WARDOGS tutorial skip is surprisingly simple: load in, wait about 15 seconds, press Escape, and exit to the main menu. You do not have to finish the tutorial first.
