How to Ascend in Path of Exile 2

In Path of Exile 2 (POE2) Ascendancy Classes let you specialize your character by unlocking powerful abilities and traits. To ascend, you’ll need to completetrials and challenges in the game. Here’s a simple guide on how to Ascend:

1. Learn About Ascendancy Classes

Each main character class has multiple Ascendancy options. These subclasses give unique skills and traits to help you focus on a specific playstyle. Choosing the right Ascendancy is key.

2. Find the Ascension Trials

To unlock an Ascendancy Class, you need to complete at least one Ascension Trial. These trials are special challenges found as you progress through the game:

Trial of the Sekhemas: Found in Act 2. This trial requires you to complete a series of rooms filled with traps and puzzles, followed by a boss fight.
Trial of Chaos: Found in Act 3. This trial includes different mechanics and ends with a unique boss battle.

Prepare your gear and skills before entering these trials, as they are designed to test your character's abilities.

3. Complete the Trial

Once you successfully finish an Ascension Trial, you will earn Ascendancy Points and unlock the ability to choose your Ascendancy Class. These points are used to enhance your character in the Ascendancy skill tree.

4. Select Your Ascendancy Class

After completing the trial you can choose an Ascendancy Class that matches your playstyle. Each class provides unique abilities and passives, so pick one that works with your character build. You can find the Ascendancy skill tree in the character menu after unlocking it.
