Auto-retaliate in RuneScape 3 lets your character automatically fight back when attacked. Turning it on is simple and can make combat much easier in certain situations. Here's how to enable it:

1. Open the Combat Settings

  • Look for the Action Bar at the bottom of your screen.

  • Click on the Sword Icon (Combat Settings) located near the action bar.

2. Find the Auto-Retaliate Button

  • In the Combat Settings menu, you’ll see an option for Auto-Retaliate.

  • It looks like two crossed swords or a shield icon, depending on your interface layout.

3. Toggle Auto-Retaliate

  • Click on the Auto-Retaliate icon to turn it On or Off:

    • When On: Your character will automatically attack any enemy that targets you.

    • When Off: Your character will not retaliate unless you manually choose to attack.

4. Confirm It's On

  • Check the icon on your interface:

    • A highlighted or active icon means Auto-Retaliate is enabled.

    • If the icon looks dimmed or inactive, it’s turned off.

Adjust as Needed

  • You can toggle Auto-Retaliate anytime during gameplay:

    • Turn On for general combat like slayer tasks or fighting multiple enemies/afk.

    • Turn Off for precision combat like bosses where timing your attacks is important.
