Graveyard Keeper 2 Achievements Guide

Graveyard Keeper 2 has 38 Steam achievements, and a full completion run is less about hunting dozens of obscure one-off tasks than keeping several long-term counters moving while you progress the story. Cooking, farming, smelting, fishing, burials, merchant orders, sermons, zombies, alcohol, and Inspirations all have cumulative achievements, so the easiest 100% route is to start feeding those counters early instead of leaving every grind for the end. Several other achievements are tied to story or town progression, while five Steam entries currently show only their achievement names with no public unlock description.

Graveyard Keeper 2 100% Achievement Roadmap

I would not approach the achievement list in Steam order. The better route is to separate achievements by whether they happen naturally, whether they require town progression, or whether they track a large number of repeated actions.

During the story, keep producing instead of waiting until the end to grind. Cook whenever you need food, diversify your farming, smelt bronze and iron as part of normal construction, bury usable corpses, complete merchant orders, and let zombie automation take over repetitive production as soon as it's worthwhile.

The counters most likely to become cleanup later are the ones with much larger targets: 100 dishes, 100 crops, 100 bronze ingots, 100 iron ingots, 100 trees, 50 fish, 50 burials, 50 supplies, 25 merchant orders, 50 battle items, 50 resurrected zombies, 100 bottles of alcohol, 50 sermons, and 150 Inspirations.

That makes the completion route roughly:

100% Route
Progress the story and unlock the major game systems.
Start cumulative crafting and gathering achievements immediately.
Complete town restoration and merchant objectives as they open.
Keep sermons, zombies, fishing, and Inspirations moving throughout the playthrough.
Finish the story before committing to large cleanup grinds.
Return for any remaining counters and hidden achievements once their requirements are verified.

Story Achievements Should Mostly Take Care of Themselves

A large portion of the list is tied to meeting characters, completing major quests, winning battles, and reaching later story milestones. These aren't the achievements I'd spend time actively grinding unless one fails to unlock when expected.

A New Beginning unlocks when the journey begins.

Two faces is awarded after meeting Januarius and Jully.

A Man of Many Talents unlocks when Jack makes his way to the town.

First Blood is awarded for winning your first battle.

The Man Behind the Curtain unlocks when Gunter enters the story.

Friends in Low Places comes from meeting the bandits.

A Little Magic is tied to the fairy answering the call.

A Night to Remember unlocks after attending Linda's concert.

Forbidden Knowledge is awarded for finding the Necronomicon.

A New Dawn requires clearing the south part of Town of zombies.

The People Have Spoken unlocks after the elections conclude.

The End of the Journey is the completion achievement for finishing the game.

There is also Words of Faith, awarded for delivering your first sermon. If the church side of progression is where you're currently stuck, my Graveyard Keeper 2 Faith guide covers unlocking the Temple, Wrath day, Gratitude, Temple quality, and the sermon loop.

Town Restoration Has Its Own Achievement Track

A second group revolves around rebuilding the Town and improving the surrounding economy rather than simply advancing the main plot.

Open for Business unlocks after completing your first town order.

Back to Life marks the point where the town has taken its first steps toward recovery.

Patron of merchants requires building every market stall in the Town.

Urban Planner requires restoring all houses in the Town.

Merchants' Best Friend is the longer merchant grind, requiring 25 merchant orders.

Home Sweet Tomb is the graveyard-side equivalent: raise your cemetery quality to 200.

I would treat these as a separate completion lane while progressing. If you're already passing through Town regularly, keeping orders and restoration projects moving prevents a large construction backlog from becoming your final achievement grind.

Start These Grind Achievements Before You Actually Need Them

The cumulative achievements are where planning saves the most time. None of the individual targets are especially complicated, but doing hundreds of actions from zero after finishing the story is a much worse use of time than letting normal progression count toward them.

Master Cook
Cook 100 dishes.

Use this as an excuse to produce your regular working food instead of relying entirely on purchased meals. Cooking naturally throughout the game should remove a large part of the eventual grind.

Master Farmer
Harvest 100 crops.

One hundred crops is small enough that a properly used garden should eventually cover it naturally. Zombie farming can also take over much of the repeated agricultural work later.

Bronze Age
Smelt 100 bronze ingots.

Iron Age
Smelt 100 iron ingots.

Both smelting achievements reward maintaining production rather than crafting only when one recipe forces you to. Keep ore processing while you're doing other work and check the counters again later.

Tree Bane
Fell 100 trees.

If you're regularly gathering your own lumber, start this early. Wood feeds enough construction and crafting systems that deliberately postponing the achievement doesn't gain you anything.

Fish Magnet
Catch 50 fish.

Fishing has Mastery, bait, rod, and location requirements rather than being a single repeated click. The Graveyard Keeper 2 fishing guide covers the reel timing, known fish, rods, bait, and progression route if you're working toward 50 catches.

Novice Alchemist
Brew 25 potions.

Twenty-five is one of the lighter production requirements. Once alchemy is established, deliberately making useful potions should be preferable to crafting 25 throwaway items purely for the achievement.

True Graveyard Keeper
Bury 50 corpses.

This one can compete slightly with other corpse uses because not every useful body necessarily belongs underground. Keep the 50-burial requirement in mind while also reserving good worker candidates for your zombie setup.

Supplier
Create 50 supplies.

Warmaker
Craft 50 battle items.

These are good candidates for background production once the relevant crafting chains are established. There's little reason to manually spam all 50 in one sitting if you'll need the items over the course of normal progression anyway.

Necromancer
Resurrect 50 zombies.

This is one of the larger specialized grinds because it asks for far more zombies than you'll necessarily need as permanent workers. Before reaching that cleanup stage, my Graveyard Keeper 2 Zombies guide covers resurrection, Red Skulls, tools, perks, Supplier Stations, and worker automation.

Alcohol Baron
Produce 100 bottles of alcohol.

One hundred bottles sounds worse than it is if brewing is already part of your production network. This is another achievement I'd leave running in the background rather than saving all 100 for postgame.

Shepherd of Souls
Preach 50 sermons.

This one is inherently calendar-gated, which makes starting early far more important than most crafting achievements. Sermons depend on the weekly church cycle, so you cannot simply knock out 50 instantly at the end. Keep preaching as the game progresses.

Town Gratitude feeds directly into that weekly system. My Graveyard Keeper 2 Town Gratitude guide covers repeatable sources, weekly caps, crops, burial certificates, and preparing the meter before sermon day.

Stroke of Genius
Reach 150 Inspirations.

I'd expect this to be another achievement that rewards broad progression rather than a narrow endgame farm. Faith is tied into unlocking Inspirations, so maintaining your sermon cycle while expanding the rest of the game should reduce how much dedicated cleanup remains.

Five Steam Achievements Currently Don't Show Their Requirements

The Steam list provided for this guide includes five achievements with names but no accompanying unlock descriptions:

Hidden or Unspecified Requirements
An Unlikely Pair
Two Broken Souls
A Dangerous Romance
The Ancient One
The Other Keeper

I wouldn't invent triggers for these based on their names. They appear among the extremely low-unlock achievements in the current Steam data, but the supplied listing does not state what actions unlock them.

If these are still missing after completing the main story and major side content, leave them until their exact conditions are confirmed rather than wasting time trying random interactions.
