Graveyard Keeper 2 Alcohol Guide
Alcohol becomes an important crafting material once Graveyard Keeper 2 starts pushing you deeper into alchemy, resurrection, and Factory progression. You make it by distilling Wine, but the recipe has its own technology requirement, and later upgrades can significantly increase how much Alcohol you get from every batch.

Make Alcohol by Distilling Wine
Alcohol is crafted at the Distillation Cube using 1 Wine, 2 Clay Urns, and 20 Fuel. The recipe requires Mastery 3 and normally produces 4 Alcohol per batch.

Output: 4 Alcohol
The Clay Urns are consumed when you craft the batch, so you'll need another pair every time you run the Distillation Cube. Fuel is also measured in Fuel units rather than meaning 20 individual pieces of Firewood.
Once the recipe is unlocked, the process itself is straightforward: put Wine into the Distillation Cube with the required Urns and Fuel, then run the craft.
Alcohol Unlocks With the Reanimation Liquid Technology
You cannot make Alcohol just by building the Distillation Cube. The recipe is unlocked through the Reanimation Liquid technology in the Anatomy and Alchemy tree.
Reanimation Liquid costs 30 red, 40 green, and 50 blue technology points and sits beyond Battle Potions II. The technology is also tied to character and quest progression rather than being available immediately from the technology tree.
The current sources disagree slightly on the exact character path. The Graveyard Keeper 2 wiki connects the unlock to Gunter's Necronomicon quest and reputation progression, while a player who was specifically missing the Alcohol recipe reported that advancing Vagner eventually revealed the Reanimation Liquid technology block.
The reliable checkpoint is therefore the technology itself. If Reanimation Liquid has not been revealed yet, Alcohol will not appear at the Distillation Cube.
Bronze, Silver, and Gold Wine Can All Be Used
The recipe accepts the general Wine ingredient group rather than one specific quality.
Bronze, Silver, and Gold Wine all work when making Alcohol, so you do not need to save or produce one particular Wine tier just for distillation.
That gives you some flexibility when managing your cellar. If you already have lower-quality Wine sitting around and don't need it for something else, it can still be turned into Alcohol instead of being wasted.
Cube Distillations Increases the Batch to 7 Alcohol
The normal recipe gives you 4 Alcohol, but Cube distillations raises the same batch to 7.

That increase is worth prioritizing if Alcohol has become part of your regular production chain. Wine, Clay Urns, and Fuel all have to be supplied again for another batch, so getting 7 instead of 4 stretches those ingredients much further.
It also matters if you're producing Alcohol in bulk rather than making a few bottles for one recipe. Once Dynamite and resurrection start consuming your supply, the extra output adds up quickly.
Alcohol Is Used for Both Dynamite and Reanimation Liquid
Alcohol feeds into at least two important progression systems: Dynamite and Reanimation Liquid.
Dynamite becomes relevant around the Factory and mine progression. Players have specifically reported needing more Alcohol to produce Dynamite for clearing smaller walls that block conveyor-belt routes.
That can make Alcohol feel like a sudden bottleneck. You may have unlocked Factory systems and reached the blocked areas before realizing that your Distillation Cube still doesn't have the Alcohol recipe available.
Alcohol is also one of the ingredients used for Reanimation Liquid. Clay + Alcohol + Salt is a valid combination, provided you have the necessary laboratory setup, flasks, and fuel.

If Alcohol Isn't at the Distillation Cube, Check Your Technology Progress
If you've built the Distillation Cube and still cannot see Alcohol, don't assume the workstation is bugged.
The most likely issue is that Reanimation Liquid has not been revealed yet. Several players have run into this exact situation: they had the technology path and the Cube available, but the Alcohol recipe remained absent until they advanced the associated quest or relationship progression far enough.
Check the Anatomy and Alchemy tree first. If Reanimation Liquid is still hidden or unavailable, continue the relevant character quests rather than spending more resources rebuilding the Distillation Cube.
Once the technology is unlocked, the rest of the Alcohol loop is simple: keep Wine, Clay Urns, and Fuel stocked, use Cube distillations when available, and turn the resulting Alcohol into whichever progression material you need next.
